What a great, personal gift!

Now you have me thinking about mosaic as an option for monogram-izing our entry gate!  How well would such hold up to exterior conditions, specifically below-freezing temps lasting a few weeks at a time and then around-freezing temps lasting months?  Or is there a method or materials to counter such conditions?  The last owners of our house left some mosaic stepping stones and the ceramic is crumbling and glass "marbles" falling off.

Thank you all for the comments. Smiley

T
Typically even mosaic that is for outside should be brought in in extreme cold. Between the adhesive and the contraction of the cement it does not do well. If you go with mosaic, which would be lovely, just make sure your store in in the winter. Which where you are is always. Cheesy

Thanks! And you are correct with the winter length!  I thought it was about contraction of adhesive and such.  Shoot.
