A little nervous being the first to post my Witchy Woman, both because I have not embroidered anything this big or detailed in forever and because I am not 100% happy with her. If I did her again, there is quite a lot I would change, but I am chalking this up to a huge learning experience. (Well, re-learning, I used to do quite a lot of embroidery!)

There is running and backstitch, french knots, satin stitch, ribbon embroidery, beading and couching, for the hair, for which I used a fluffy wool. Some of the areas, for example, the cat and the pumpkin, were embroidered with different fabrics onto a separate backing, with a little padding, and appliqued on. Other areas, for example, the dress and boots, were appliqued directly onto the backing. After adding all the bits, I embroidered over the top and added the beading at the end. I used a pink crayon to add a bit of shading to the skin areas.

I have to add, I love the cat - it is a black velvet material and is so tactile Smiley

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.
