I have tried to pin things before and had it give me a window that says "You've already pinned that to this board" and then lets me try again or cancel. It usually only happens when I just pinned it but Pinterest or the site I was going from wasn't cooperating so I couldn't tell if I had pinned it or not.

My biggest problem with Pinterest is the fact that I lose track of time while pinning away.

My biggest problem with Pinterest is the fact that I lose track of time while pinning away.

Yeah, sometimes I set my alarm; otherwise, I've burned up a couple of hours before I know it.  Of course, the history board is a big part of that for me.  A lot of people seem to just pin pin pin and never actually click the link and read anything but when something catches my eye, I like to go ahead and read it.  My craft related boards; however, are riddled with bad links I'm sure because I pin based on pictures and don't go ahead and follow the link.  That's usually okay since the photo can still be used as a starting point for creating something.

We seem to be getting off to an extremely slow start here.  I figured with the OWS hitting it's very special "Round 100" that might happen.  A lot of us do both swaps.  I think once it's apparent that we're going to make that goal we'll see more activity in the Jan. OPS... I hope.

Annchen,  I like your Top 10 Board idea. I think there are 3 on there that if I were playing right now and if I were willing to send overseas, I would totally claim you for. Darn. I may have to make room for this swap afterall.

Heh... Sometimes it's easier not to have a ton of stuff to pick from I guess.

I totally agree. Sometimes while perusing Pinterest for this swap I either get lost and forget who I was looking for what and why or I just can't get it up for someone because there are so many choices and get overwhelmed. Or I get anxious because what if I choose something they forgot they pinned and don't really want anymore or what if they don't really like that pin and they forgot why they pinned it? (That's happened to me before in the beginning, FYI, that's why it's one of my anxieties.) Having a Top 10 for the moment list is a swell idea.

And updating it gives me a reason to go through my pinboards and weed out any misplaced pins...

Yes! When I join here again I'm totally doing that. One time I thought I was browsing Pinterest for the OPS and I was like "Man, I really like everything on this user's boards. I bet I would get along great with this person. Who is it?" It was me. I totally should have claimed myself. That's another reason I keep my pin count so low: If I couldn't recognize my own boards that close to the beginning then I definitely wouldn't with many thousand! Also, I should make things I pin. If I won't make them for myself, why should someone else make it for me?

I owe you ladies an apology.  I did say I was going to join the OPS in January.  But during the holidays, as I was gathering gifts together and wrapping them, I realized that I had a lot less Craftster made items than I did last year.  And it really made a difference in the quality of and amount of gifts given.  And that made me sad.

After the holidays, I HAD to join the OWS (round 100), then the January birthday swap came up (nobody in my life seems to realize it is a REQUIREMENT to celebrate with me ALL MONTH LONG, except Craftster), and I made a promise to myself to stay in the OGS all year long (it really saddened me to not have the  quantity of Craftster made gifts to give this year).

That brings me up to three swaps and I haven't received feedback for the last round of the OGS.  Only one more swap spot open, and there are so many nifty new swaps that will be opening soon that I wanted to keep a spot open.

I'm sorry.  But I should be joining in February.
