It's always good when the loved ones have weird hobbies to counterbalance our own!

I love the idea of including snacks to keep the mutant quiet on the journey. I put some in too, but only because I needed more packing material. BirdBones' mutant is pretty much self-nurishing, so won't need to nosh.

Wulf

Ooohhhh.. intriguing ! Did you in fact modify the ever-glorious Mr. Potato Head? Hmmmm.... *lifting a spock-eyebrow* Fascinating.

And yes, I do agree- it is best if one's strange hobbies somehow balance out with the odd attractions of the one closest to you. I seem to remember a time when someone ordered two handmade swords from other countries and then begrudged me the adding of a new pair of shoes .. ehm... LAB EQUIPMENT! for myself Grin
Needless to say, I am surrounded by much more sensible people now Wink

I have been patiently checking my shipping status every day, waiting for an update.  And finally, today, I have learned that my package is currently in...

Chicago.

REALLY?!?!?  Seven days after mailing, and my package is still in the same TIME ZONE, for crying out loud?!  I thought it would surely be out of the country by now -- it's still got an ocean to cross!

(I'm not really upset at the post office, I'm just impatient for my package to arrive.  Smiley )
I just checked the tracking for RobbinZombie's mutant headed toward me, and it's in Chicago too.  I wonder if they both got free and are Thelma and Louise-ing it around the country as we speak!

Huzzah!  My mutant has cleared customs in her new home country.  If I'm really lucky, maybe she'll get delivered on Saturday, but if not, I'm hoping for Monday or Tuesday.

Professor Ocelot's mutant is currently lurking around Frankfurt- maybe it wants to go scare some bankers and lawyers as long as he is in the vicinity  Grin

I'm finally going to the post office now. Wheee! My husband aka Dr Garbanzo (it's unfair, he's got an evil genius persona, but I don't) helped me wrestle the mutant into a suitable box.

I feel like such a slowpoke... Heh... It will be interesting to fill in the customs declaration for this one. I don't think "mutant" will go down well Tongue

EDIT: He claims I don't need an evil persona since I'm already evil. I don't know if I'm supposed to be flattered or upset over that...

Well, I must say that sounds very promising. Apart from the obvious puns ("Frankenfurter", etc.), there isn't a lot in Frankfurt to distract an earnest mutant from its mission, so you might be getting a little visitor very soon!

All righty my band of valiant and creative mutation scientists, we have had a tiny problem and will need an Angel.  I'm chomping at the bit to make something for Acadian Driftwood, and so is BirdBones, but we felt we should offer up the chance for FOC for a year to the rest of the swap.  Both BB and I renewed in the fall.  So, if you need/want FOC, want to Angel and can get it done fast and well made, PM me before Tuesday morning please Grin

EDIT: So....after I typed all of that, I made the mistake of looking at AD's like list.  Suddenly, my hands started to itch.  And then there was this buzzing in my ears.  I don't really remember much, but i eventually realized there was a mutant sitting in front of me.  It keeps chanting "A D, A D, A D,"...it either means it wants to go live with Acadian Driftwood, or it's trying to tell me I am attention deficit.  The wee thing is just an embryo at the mo though Grin

So it seems I'm Angeling for AD Grin

Since over here it is already tuesday morning, I am obviously too late-

but I am really glad the AD-mutant started developing at your place. It is great that you are angel-ing , even though I get a feeling that the growing mutation might in fact be telling you both that it is afflicted by that disorder AND screaming for it's future mom at the same time Grin
I am sure Acadian Driftwood will have lots of fun chasing her future family member around the house  Grin Grin Grin
