My boyfriend has his heart set on a hat that looks like The Tick's ( http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/patrick-warburton-the-tick.jpg ) for this winter. Does anyone have any ideas about how to do the antennas so that they'll stay up? The best I can come up with is pipe cleaners. Would appreciate any help or ideas! Smiley

I embedded 22 gauge wire into a recent knit project and that seemed to work perfectly (and would probably be sturdier than pipe cleaners).  You can get it in the jewelry making section of any craft store.

Awesome. I didn't even think about scoping out the jewelry section. Thanks for reply.

Has anyone had any luck using wire hangers?

Has anyone had any luck using wire hangers?

I can barely make a wire hanger into a good shape for sock blockers, lol, so I definitely have a hard time working with them, but maybe someone else has?

I know this is a really old thread, but what pattern did you use for the hat??? My boyfriend wants one too and I'm still pretty new to knitting and would need a pattern to follow... I hope you still have it or remember it! Thank you!!
