Bookmarks, tassels for other projects, bows, ornaments. I feel the exact same way about my yarn, too!!

Coasters. Cut them into short lengths and put them out for your birds at nesting time. Doll clothes. Tie gifts with the excess yarn.

So here is something I made that actually fits the map theme \o/ My first de-stashing project Smiley

Here's a link to a more detailed description of the process and materials.

I only found this DeStash-along at the end of last month and I don't think I've posted in here before.  I accidentally matched up a couple of the challenges this month.
Color: Turquoise and Challenge 1 (scrappy projects)

Dolphin dishcloth

and a couple of Freeze Pop holders

A scrappy project and one for Challenge 2 (at least I think it will be a gift) - a Christmas stocking.

I would have never thought of freeze pop holders - what a great idea

chirel - That frame is beautiful!

cmouse - I love the idea of freeze pop holders.  But I always tried to make mine as slushy as possible...

alwaysinmyroom - I've been known to use tiny lengths of yarn I can't stand looking at any more as stuffing in cat toys and things like that.

August Themes

stars by Adriana Cecchi, on Flickr

Color: Orange
Pattern: Stars
For: Friends
Challenge 1: Trade stash with a friend - not the whole thing, obviously, but things you are tired of looking at will be shiny and new to someone else.
Challenge 2: Craft something from the theme of a swap that has caught your attention recently, whether you joined the swap or not.

Have been making a ton of cards (mostly but not entirely from stash). Was getting burnt out last night so I whipped out some beads and memory wire for some 'change of pace' projects.

Made two bracelets for myself and two garden whimseys. Sorry but the garden whimseys tend to blend in with my crepe myrtle a little too well, so they're hard to see. Basically they're just longer versions of my bracelets.
I've also been trying to use up the partial skeins of sock yarn in my stash. Have made another three miniature pouches. Think they'll make good doll purses.
