That's a great strategy!  Sometimes fewer options really does get the creative juices flowing.

I'm going camping for a week, I'm taking 2 projects to work on. Essentially a bag of embroidery thread and a skein of yarn. By the sounds of it Manitoba is flooded so I should have a ton of crafting time, plus the 13 hour drive, paradise!

I agree...sometimes having too many options becomes overwhelming...which is why I am cleaning out my craft space once again... Grin

Hello, friends! It seems i keep finding myself not checking the board... I miss it!

Kook, holy cow that lap blanket is gorgeous. And those slippers look comfy!

kbrison, i love those ocean notecards!

clm, i am really looking forward to your huge project.

After finishing an afghan for my oldest friend and his wife at the beginning of June (a wedding gift 6 months late and sadly not from stash), i've been mostly working on baby blankets. I'm really into slanted shell/box stitch.

I got the yarn for this sometime last year, i think. I finally started to use it. I still have plenty for another.

Somebody asked me for a pink/peach/white baby blanket a few months ago, and i had enough left over for this. I thought the transition from pink to peach wouldn't be so awkward, but it was... Heh. Oh, well. Maybe somebody will like it.

Now i'm knitting a baby blanket. I used the black i had leftover from the wedding afghan (which i love because the blanket will hopefully be for his brother's baby). The hot pink isn't from stash, so i'll just post this progress shot, which is mostly the black.

My sister's best friend is visiting from Alaska right now. So, yesterday, i made a coffee cozy for her. (They're both really into zebra print.)

But then i remember she'll be going back to Alaska, where she might not be ordering iced coffee anymore, so i'm making her a sleeve.

I'm also working on another crochet baby blanket in the colors of the Olympic rings (and white) because my sister had a skein of each for some reason. It's not my favorite yet, but we'll see how it turns out.

Missed a month of notifications. I swear my computer hates Craftster . . . maybe because I spend so much time on this site! I made some crocheted market bags and mini-pouches from stash in June, but seem to be adding to my stash more than I'm working from it. Went to a scrapbooking convention last month and bought paper and embellishments plus new dies with matching stamps and some new tools. Adding tools and equipment don't count against us, do they?  Grin

Tools are tools, they help de-stash in the long run  Wink

I've come to an impasse with de-stashing.I'm replenishing so I have enough to use up the last of my stashed materials.

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.
