Everyone's projects this month are so impressive! I feel like I'm slacking, but most of my energy has gone into a sweater that is using a whopping 3 skeins of yarn. I am gathering my supplies for several upcoming projects, though.

I tried my hand at paper cutting.  I wasn't even going to count this as DeStashing, since it only used two sheets of paper, but then I found a frame for it tucked away in stash so it felt like a more substantial effort.

I love your raven! Is it based on an image? Every bit of destashing helps right Wink

I have been working on some destash projects for a swap that I should be able to post next month.

Thanks!  It was a lot of fun to make - I used a template from the Sherenchnitte Blog so it was really easy too.

Ladies! I have a lot of catching up to do, and some projects to post, I'm sure, but first i wanted to make my first post as a 27-year-old! Grin

Happy birthday, Bananaleg!

Recently angeled for the Sweat Shoppe Swap and used approximately 2 1/4 yards of light weight denim for 3 Mors-style bags and 1 1/2 yards of quilters' cotton for the linings. Also made some matching tissue holders from the scraps.

Unlike the original pattern, these bags are fully lined and reversible and include an interior pocket. They measure approximately 18" x 20" without the handles.

Happy Birthday, bananaleg!

kbrison - Those bags look amazing! I love the blue and green combination.  And now I know about morsbags.

I've been thinking about making some more of the bags since they were so easy and used a fair amount of fabric. They'd be a quicker way of using up stash than the other sewing projects I've been doing!

The same thought had crossed my mind.  I think they'd make pretty good Random Acts of Kindness to just leave in places for people to take.  But since I mainly have quilting cotton in my stash, I'm not sure they'd turn out sturdy enough.

Do you have old jeans? Piece some together to make your 20" x 40" piece. Should work well and would probably work better than the lightweight denim I used.
