lol my husband is constantly reminding me that the stuff in a bigger house is not going to fit...period. At least I am making what I really want to make and not sweating the small ridiculous projects any more!

Even with a crazy month at work I was able to do a little de-stashing:

A shamrock for St. Patrick's Day (it didn't use up a lot of yarn, but every little bit helps)

And a pink and purple chevron hat (I was able to finish off a skein of pink Red Heart and most of a Vanna's choice in the purple!)

jfer007 - That hat is awesome! I wish I had good enough knitting skills to do that.

I love the chevron hat!  What pattern did you use?  I have never knit chevrons, only crocheted them.  It turned out lovely and interesting!  Good job...and what a cute little shamrock!

This is the pattern I used: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/zig-zag-chevron-hat

It was pretty simple, but kept my attention so I didn't get too bored.

Baby quilt for a co-worker.  Bought the quilt kit over a year ago, just  because I liked the color palette - so it became stash.  Used batting I already had, though would have preferred something higher loft to it was more squishy.  I think there's enough fabric left over if I use white from stash to make a second top

How funny! I just started a blue sweater for myself out of my stash! I love it when things come together.

My goal this month is to whittle down some of the scraps that I have. I was straightening the craft room last night and I have a rubbermaid tub full of "scrap" fabric - the pieces range in size from 1"x1" to just shy of 1/2 yd. Since I don't look in that pile before starting a project, the tub just fills and fills. We'll see how much of a dent I can make!

I have such a tub but I have made myself go through it once a month at least to cut them into three sizes...5-inches, 3- inches, and 2-1/2 inches.  I put all larger pieces back into my "fat quarter boxes" by color.

Those sizes are perfect for scrap projects since they can be combined in so many ways.

All tiny scraps go into my paper crafting box for cards, coasters, etc.  I keep everything! Cheesy

I plan on knitting with some beautiful blue yarn as well...not sure what I will be making, but I love the yarn!
