Finished up some little turtles for the conservation sell at work. Didn't make a huge dent but used up some scraps.

Awesome turtles!  Every little scrap helps!

I have been weak this week.  I had hoped not to buy any "just because" fabric that wasn't earmarked for a project, but I was out shopping for some material to supplement stash for a quilt I'm working on, and a really cute fabric somehow made its way into my cart.  So now I have an extra yard of fabric to puzzle out how to use.  I gave up Pinterest for lent (because I spent way too much time there) so I'm kind of stumbling in the dark.  But I will muddle through and these little owls will be used.  If I can make one small thing out of it this month I will be happy.

I always have to buy fabric for the quilt block swap since there is always a block or so that needs colors I don't have...Grin.  Of course, I end up buying too much and then have leftovers to deal with...but, really, this round, I am making most of the blocks with stash!!

Welcome Aboard, puffer!  I will agree - glasses are very useful for the destashing process.  It's always nice to see what you have.

I have found an unexpected side effect of my recent destashing efforts, namely paring down my fabric stash until there's only stuff I really like left.  Now when I'm trying something out there's no I-Don't-Care fabric to use.  I'll have to use muslin to mock-up like I'm supposed to, but that's so Boring.  Grin  (I was digging through my scrap bin doing my best Jim Moriarty impersonation this evening.  It's a good thing there was no one around to hear.)

I know, I know, first world problems and all that.

The little trees are cute. Are you going to make a whole forest?
