Mcook those soaps look awesome!  What exactly is felted soap?  I've seen it a few times but I'm not totally sure what it is.  I'm assuming a layer of felt on soap...that's as far as I've gotten. Does the felt slide off the soap or is it like layered inside so you have a scrubby soap to the very end?

Thanks, Watson!
This is the first time that I have made felt soaps and I haven't used them yet.  They are suppose to be a soap/ washcloth combo.  It is a bit exfoliating due to the felt.  The felt is wrapped around the soap and none inside.  I don't think it will slip off.  My guess is it will shrink with the soap, maybe?  I really need to use a bar so I have a better understanding of how they work and feel.

The felted soap is boggling my mind.  It sound neat, but what does one do with it after the soap is gone?  Do you just have a ball of felt left?  Or does the felt make the soap last longer?

Every time someone mentions 'The muffin man"  I envision the movie Shrek where Lord Farquad is holding Gingy hostage trying to find out about the muffin man.  LOL.

Quaggy, your hooded cowl looks so pretty.  The colors and size look great on you.  Also, I am in awe about the weather too!  Course, I'm not from this area, so this little ice is no big deal for us.  We're use to driving on roads that are completed covered in ice and snow and it doesnt melt for weeks.  But still, ice here?!  I thought we moved to place that doesn't have ice!  Our truck looked like an ice cube this morning.  And my dogs were not happy about a freezing potty break this morning.

From what I have read, the felt is suppose to make the soap last longer.  And I think you would just toss the soap at the end.

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Heehee, I bet your muffin man would be adorable Mama!

Thank you Luck!  Sometimes I can't believe how fast the time has passed.  Lana is nearly as tall as me...it's scary.  Bet you feel the same about your daughter.  Smiley

Watson, I haven't sent your package out yet so look for a little surprise!  Smiley

I remember years ago you posting photos of Lana modeling her Craftster gifts.  It does seem like time is just zoomed past.  Funny you mentioned Lana being almost taller then you.  Our kiddo, was shorter then me last summer.  But by Christmas he was taller then me, wears bigger shoes and he is borrowing all of my super hero t-shirts!  My fault though, I buy them all in the mens department so he sees them as fair game for borrowing.  Pretty soon he will be giving them back to me because they wont fit him anymore.
