So many beautiful quilts around here Smiley

I have finished two so far:
A cowboys snowball - nine patch twin size quilt for my youngest displayed here on my double bed

and a churn dash baby quilt - my first attempt at paper piecing went into this one

I am now binding another baby quilt which I'll post when it's finished...I had quilted the baby's date of birth on it and was really pleased at how the 3s looked for 3.3.2013 Angry Roll Eyes Embarrassed  thanks to the guy who invented seam rippers is all I say...

Great finishes everyone.  Smiley

I finished something!  It's not anything at all that was on my list, but in my book a finished object is a Finished Object, and thus something to be pleased with given my appalling track record of UFOs....

Unfortunately, making this bag ate a lot of the fabric I bought to bind my bargello with (the red lining), so I'm ~24" short of finishing that as well until I can get to the FLFS and get some more.  Roll Eyes

First I need to give credit where it is due - LisaMarieNY is the designer of this mugrug and when I saw the one she posted in the Quilting Finished Projects, I wanted to make one and was pleasantly surprised to see she sold the pattern.

This is my 3rd finished project of the year.

Updated my list.  I am 8 for the year.  And I haven't touched a thing on my list.

Amazon_warrior, I love the bag! I like the combination of the blue fabrics you used and the red lining gives an extra special effect. It really pops out. Well worth sacrificing your binding fabric for  Grin

That is just so pretty!  I love the background fabric you used...so springy!

oh wow--nearly missed the bag!  Very nice!  Love the blues and the red lining together!

Also, just saw the sailboat...love it!

How's everyone doing with their quilting?

I'm making small steps in the direction of progress. I still find it hard to keep myself motivated sometimes. I love quilting, but it's very precise work, you have to pay attention, especially as a beginner. I'm also knitting an aghan atm and where I can just take it up, knit a few rows and then put it aside when I feel like doing something else, quilting isn't like that.

It's good therapy though, you really have to pay attention, measure twice, pin before sewing, iron all the hems open. Who knows, I might pick up some good habits ...
