ETA:  Links to FOs

1. Japanese-themed quilted messenger bag: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432132.0#axzz2vbJNBZR2
 - Not at all something listed below, this was a completely spontaneous make but a lot of fun to do.
2. Rainbow bargello, aka Cupid's Bow/Redshift: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432632.0
3. Another messeger bag: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432986.0#axzz2zRq1Bz7P
4. Easter table runner: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432987.0#axzz2zRq1Bz7P
5. A Splash of Sun: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=434393.0#axzz37oantShH (mini art quilt for the "100 things" challenge)
6. Fold-up changing mat: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=434881.0#axzz38xyOM54W
7. Batik wonky stars baby/kiddie quilt for my new niece/nephew: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=435260.0
8. Birds and Bees quilt for my cousin's little girl: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=435261.0

Can people still join this?  I have a number of projects on the go or in mind and I wouldn't mind making a list of them here.  In no particular order:

1.  Rainbow bargello throw.  Needs last bit of quilting and binding. DONE!
2&3.  Disappearing 9 patches (one bed-sized, one wall-sized).  Need border, back, quilting, binding; , .
4.  Mum's Japanese-themed attic windows door curtain.  Needs blocks finishing, back, quilting, binding; .
5.  Sister's wedding quilt (disappearing 9 patch with hearts).  Needs blocks finishing, border, back, quilting, binding; .
6-8.  Quilts for my cousin's kids (two little girls and one boy).  Need fabrics/designing/starting! One down, one half-finished and one to go!
9.  Chenille bag with batik fabrics.  Have the fabrics, will probably start this in a Quilt Club session soon.
10.  Something with the green and purple batik fabrics I couldn't resist buying the other day - I LOVE batiks! DONE!
11.  Quilted/embroidered wall hanging of my 2012/13 journey overland from west Wales to Malaysia.  I found a great world map fabric by chance, need to get started with it.
12.  One-block wonder quilt.  Just a vague desire at the moment - I bought a book about them and would love to try this once I've cleared a few more pressing projects.
13.  A quilting project involving cogs/steampunk elements, possibly for my friend.  Again, just a vague idea at the moment.
14.  Something (possibly a bag) to use up the map-print fabrics I keep buying because I love-love-love maps.

Uhmmmm, that'll do me for now, I think!

Does any one have any baby quilt design suggestions for using a bold, largeish scale print?  I'm going to make a baby quilt for people who are fans of Alabama football so I was going to use some Roll tide fabric that is rather busy (helmets, elephants, logo) and pair with with probably some solid or dot grey and maybe some solid or dot crimson red if I can find some that coordinates.  However, I'm not sure of a good pattern to use other than something that is just squares (6in or so).  Any one have a go-to pattern for using busy prints?

What about something like this? Set off thefocus fabric in the center block and coordinate on the extra two rounds?

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

Loving that bargello  Grin But all of your quilts are fancy, AW. I like your #4, and #5, too. You seem to have a flair with style and color matching.

Keep bringing on the eye candy..peeps! It certainly keeps me motivated to stay going on projects.

Thank you for the kind words!  Grin  I just really like bright colours, I suppose.  XD  The bargello happened because I bought a jelly roll to practice 1/4" seams and cutting on before I started my sister's wedding quilt and I liked the colours so much that I had to use them ALL.  Roll Eyes  Although it won't be my first finished item (that honour is reserved for the Chrissy pressies I made for my mum and best friend), it's the first proper patchwork I started so I love it dearly even though it's rather wonky because I didn't know what I was doing for the first few strips.

Your welcome. I don't think anyone really knows for sure what we ourselves are doing. We just stumble along and have fun with things  Cheesy And learn from our friends here, too.

No worries. I still love the bargello...even if it was an experimental project. (don't scratch your heads, friends...AW and I are in PM contact  Cheesy) What a wonderful first try at that style of pattern! I love your use of the jelly roll fabric. I have not tried one of those before. Cut many of them and rolled them, but never used them. I worked in a fabric store.  Grin You would think they would give me one to take home?
