So worth the tedious picking, it is gorgeous!  In winter nerd battles someone was just talking about why cats need their kitty butt rugs. Adorable kitty and quilt!

Thanks! Grin I get so nervous about making things and giving them to people who aren't my Mom, who will love it because she has to haha.

LOL on the kitty butt rug!! He has this obsession with super soft things, that red blanket under him was one I brought out especially for him and scrunched up into a nest for him so he'd leave me alone while I quilted  Roll Eyes But he does need something for his carrier other than a folded up towel, so I think tonight I'll be breaking out more mylar and some fleece for a new kitty butt rug.

this is such a popular thread!  You guys have some pretty great quilts in your list!

I am just hoping to finish the ones I started way back in 2012 and 2013!  Such inspiration and motivation!

I finished making my first project quilting quilt.  "String Sunset" It is not at all traditional and it is hanging in my dining room window.  I feel very outclassed by the other entries but I am still happy with it.
I don't know how to post pictures from flikr  Sad But I managed to get it onto craftster so phew.   I combined a lot of thing I love into making this.  It has a rag edges and I washed it several times to help it start fraying.  I also love sunsets over the water and ever since I saw a stunning quilt top back lit  I have wanted to make something intended to be hung in a window. Since I am a mom of 3 small boys I feel proud of having accomplished anything!

A stain glass quilt for your window...never thought about that, but it is really pretty with the sun shining through!

very pretty, I think I need to do this, all my windows are bare.

I'm working on my WIP quilt.  It is going to be reversible, I'm working on the back of it now.

So pretty!

We worked on our Medalion Along for our guild today, we're doing a Medallion Along (that we design!) rather than a Block of the Month. Super excited for it! Still looking for an epic middle block for my quilt!
