Welcome to the Ongoing Gift Swap Round 14!!

As you guys requested here is the ongoing holiday list swap. However, since we're now going to try to make it a year long gift-giving swap I've decided to rename it the Ongoing Gift Swap.  But Christmas is nearly here you say. You're right, I wouldn't expect to get any items for christmas this year from this swap, but there are many days for gift-giving throughout the year! Think birthdays, Valentine's, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, hey, you could even get started on Christmas gifts for next year!!

How it works:

This swap will work in an ongoing format.  The first person in the swap will post a list of handmade items that they would like.  The participants then look through the list and if they can fulfill that particular wish, they claim that person for that item and post their own list for the next person to claim them.  This works like a chain.  Person A is claimed by Person B, Person B is claimed by Person C, etc.  You must claim to be claimed and only one person can claim another at a time.

Each FOC can have up to 3 outstanding claims at a time.  A non-FOC craftster gets 2 claims at a time.  A new swapper can have 1 claim at a time.  Once one of your claim is sent and the organizer is notified with a dc# you may claim again.

What is on the list:

Each participant can post as many size medium requests as they would like in their list.  Please try to post a minimum of 10 items you would like so there is a variety and a better chance of not stalling the swap.  You may post larges or smalls as well, but please realize that to fulfill the swap requirements, you are only required to claim and send a medium.  This swap will be for handmade items only.  Organizing your list by crafting medium is a good idea to help other participants find something on your list that they are good at, but is not required.  Please note that because these are holiday wishes we are filling, items should be your absolute best quality.

How to make your list:

Please format your list to have an introduction that lets us know a little more about you, such as your name, your general location, etc.  Please format your wishes so that each participant has a clear idea as to what you are looking for.  Posting links is highly advisable.  It is also a great idea to provide participants with as much relevant information on the gift recipient as possible.  Here is my suggested way for formatting each wish:

<item> <recipient> <preferences> <link>
<allergies>

Example:
Doll dress for my daughter.  She prefers pink floral fabric with a velcro or button closure.  Here is one she likes http://URL GOES HERE
Allergies:  Smoke

Including allergies right underneath of each wish keeps the allergies in focus.  This is such an important part to consider when claiming someone.  If you format your wishes like this, they will be clear and you are more likely to be claimed quickly.

Making a claim:

Once you make a claim, you must PM the participant that you are claiming for their address and to discuss the item you have claimed to make for them.  Once you make a claim, you are committed to making that item.  Remember, you only have two weeks to complete the item and ship it.  If you choose to send extras, they do not contribute to the size of the claim.  A medium is technically either between 2-3 hours in time, or $20-$30 in supplies/value.  To claim the person who is currently available, respond to their post with I claim <username> for <item claimed for>.  For example, if I were to claim myself to make socks, I would write, I claim mama24boyz for a hoopla.  Within that same response, you then post your own list so someone can claim you.

Send Outs:

Just like other ongoing swaps, you will have two weeks from the date of your claim to send out your item.  There are no exceptions.  DC#s will be absolutely required.  If you do not provide a DC#, it will be noted in your feedback.  If you do not provide a DC# and your package gets lost, you will be required to resend.  You must PM the organizers with the DC#/customs# when you send!

Qualifications to Join:

Anyone is free to join under standard Craftster Swap Guidelines.  Due to the time constraints on claims, I reserve the right to deny any Craftster that has a history of lateness.

Receiving packages:

Please PM me as soon as you receive each package.  This is so I can keep track of claims.  Pictures in the gallery are also appreciated.  Some of your fulfilled wishes might inspire other wishes for other participants.

Other important info:

You do not have to message me when you claim a person.  You only have to message them for their address.  Please PM me however when you send your questionnaire, when you send your claim, and when you receive a claim with the title: OGS 14: questionnaire, OGS 14: sent!, etc.  Also, Please PM me with any questions you have.

Please do not claim a person until you have been approved for this swap and it is listed in your profile!  Please do not claim a person once one of your claims has been received until the person receiving from you verifies your package arrived and is exactly what you claimed them for. (Unless you have open claim spots, of course!)

Sometimes, a person's list will stall the swap.  When your list has been up for more than 18-24 hours without someone claiming you, please try to add more items to your list so you have a better chance of being claimed.  Remember that it is possible that not all of your items will be claimed.

There will be a discussion/gallery thread in the Gallery area.  This is an area to give us updates and discuss this swap.

At the end of the month, whoever is the last on the list will be first on the list for the following month/or the organizer (me!) will be the ending claimer.  You will have to sign up for each additional round that you choose to participate in.  You must be current in the previous round to be accepted to the new round.

This swap is open to international swappers, as well as new swappers.

I reserve the right to deny participation to anyone who is late in previous rounds of this swap.  This is a holiday swap and should be fun!

If you want to participate, here is the information to send to the organizer.  Please have the title of your PM be the name of the swap.

Hi!    Cheesy  My name is Barbara (a.k.a.-LadybugsAndBumblebees).  I live in Long Island, New York.  I am a preschool teacher for 'at risk' students.  I have three children-DS age 20, DD age 11, and DD age 9.  I am married to my high school sweetheart.

*I do not have allergies, but the rest of my family has slight allergies.  I can swap with people who have pets, as long as the craft and supplies are kept away from the pet.  PLEASE do NOT claim me if you smoke, or have smokers in your house.  Thank you.*

On my Pinterest (link in signature), I have a board titled:  "Please Make Me A Gift For..."  On there is ideas of gifts for family, friends, co-workers, etc...  PLEASE make sure to check that board for ideas of what I want.

Here's a small sample of what I would like to receive from this swap:

FOR DS:
-cufflinks

-duct tape case for her ipod (2 1/2 in. width, 4 1/4 length)

HUGE WISH FOR BOTH DDs:  We've decided to have a Minecraft themed birthday for both girls and could really use birthday supplies.  Some examples are:  themed birthday cards (DD is turning age 10 and other DD is turning age 12), themed t-shirts (size 10/12, and size women's adult medium), banner, goodie bags, goodies for the bags (I've already received perler bead necklaces from this swap!  Thanks catiyana!)

Ethan will be 8 on April 3. He's so easy to please. He's a busy busy boy. He loves spongebob, buzz lightyear, Mario and minecraft. He loves rescue heroes, like police, firemen, doctors, even construction workers, and all of their vehicles.

(1.0.0)
So here goes !!! I will update my list asap, so apologies if its a tad lightweight !
I will claim mama24boys for a baby and felt cradle for her little girl Smiley (plus Ill get some ManU goodies for your dad Wink

Hi, Im Jolene from Newick in sussex in England. Im a 37 year old nutty crafter with 2 gorgeous sons (kayden 8 and Ebbon 6), I also have a soul daughter (fostered) Helene who is 20.  We are quite a communal family and so I will include....... Loenja - 20 friend of the family, Mark Husband (should really have come first but hey Wink ), Simon B.IL, huuuuuge Mine craft fan. Roger - Huge bee keeper alongside my husband Smiley There is also Kate who im trying to get on here shes my bestest chum in the world.
We are a walforf family and the kids have no access to TV so no tv stuff for me please, were also pretty eco conscious so natural materials are always happy fabrics Smiley - If you cant buy new, Im a huge lover of upcycling.
I would love to receive things that I cannot do so, Polymer - crochet - paper crafts - neat sewing.

So - Top off the list, its the boys birthdays on the 31st March and the 14th April. We alsways have a joint birthday party and its a pretty big deal. All the guest play "carnival" type games to win prizes.

I would love love love some "Carnival" type toppers that I could use to make invites.
I have a pretty extensive pinterest but heres some choices for the boys....

First up, Id love one of these for the boys each. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/329748003938589047/
and one of these each http://www.pinterest.com/pin/329748003938589053/ (kayden loves rainbow colours ebbon more plain but bright.)

A rainbow beanie for Kayden, preferable slouchy he has a really big head and hats always pop off ! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/71846556528994602/
A rainbow recorder holder for his descant recorder, either crochet or fabric.
any leather bracelets like this. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/524950900286667956/ preferably with a wolf / American indian type theme.
Kayden could also do with a wallet as he is just being trusted with his own money. must have a coin pocket

Ebbon, is less colourful and more squishy ! hes just learning to read as they do it later in the steiner system so.
a nice wall art of the letters would be good - like this.  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/276338127105370415/ but perhaps incorporate things that begin with the letters into the art work like A could be turned into an apple tree etc etc.
He loves personalised things so if anyone fancies drawing a little cartoon like image of him with his brother or with his cat, let me know and I can send you a photo.
Its pretty chilly over here at the moment. - If anyone fancied crochet-ing this, ebbon would be over the moon !http://www.pinterest.com/pin/329748003938591041/

Ok Helene, shes hugely into Native American pagan stuff as our family friend is a shamanic healer.
Natural feathers groups to go in her hair would be great ! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/337418197052911915/
She makes her own dream catchers but Id love her to have an unusual one like this
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/453737731177376478/
or like this http://www.pinterest.com/pin/329748003938591303/
this would also be a fabulous idea !!!! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/329748003938591316/

Mark - gosh its harder to point something for him.
He really could do with a slouch beanie, http://www.pinterest.com/pin/329748003938608646/  must slouch though as like my son he has a big head Wink
I would love to write some poetry into a lovely book for him so If anyone fancies making me a nice romantic little A5 note pad that I can write in, that would be great.
We have batteries everywhere !!!! literally - so a little pouch to store batteries in would be good.

I claim mama24boyz for a herd of Giving Bunnies!

1/0/0

Hi! Im Jen. Im 32 and live in the SF Bay Area in California. Im a stay at home mom to a very energetic 2 -year-old son, and Im pregnant with a little girl who is due in March. We have a huge red Doberman and three cats (who hide from the dog). I am a homebody and enjoy crafting, reading, cooking, baking, and watching more TV and movies than I should. My husband and I are currently trying to get caught up on Dr. Who. I have crafting ADD, so I can do a lot of things but havent mastered most of them - yet. I love the idea of giving handmade gifts, but its so hard to make it all myself!

Son - Turning 3 in May:
Loves cars, trains, planes, robots, rockets, space - no color preferences
-- "I Spy" Bag(s) - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/292734044499281498/
-- Molded crayons - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171699804514843688/
-- Fabric Scrap Memory Game - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171699804513135429/
-- Hooded Bath Towel - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171699804513033328/

Daughter - Due in March:
We have all boy stuff. I don't mind pink and girly, but things don't have to be either.
-- Bibs (snap or Velcro closure)
-- Burp cloths
-- Hooded Bath Towel - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171699804513033328/
-- Ring Sling (with proper rings - not ones from the craft store) - If made in a print, I prefer something more modern. A solid color is okay too. I'd like something in black, gray, white, teal/turquoise or a combo of those for this.  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171699804513048816/

My Husband Fathers Day in June and Birthday in August:
-- Handmade soap Any manly scent works, but I dont really like pine.

My Mom Mothers Day in May, Birthday in December:
-- I'd love to give her a hand-stamped necklace, either with her kids' names on it (5 of us) or with my two kids names on it. I like these:
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/292734044500799176/
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/292734044500799181/

Sister #3 Birthday in November:
-- Jewelry, especially necklaces - she loves anything sea or nautical themed, the infinity symbol, geometric shapes, feathers - This is her Pinterest board - http://www.pinterest.com/Allie04/accessories/ - Thanks adrienne_bowers!
-- Chunky knit or crocheted cowl/infinity scarf - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/179932947583849571/
-- Knit boot cuffs, any style, neutral colors are best - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/61009769923719491/

Niece Turning 7 in May:
-- Rainbow Dash Tote Bag stole the idea from Watsonc7s list ☺ - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/165577723773892568/

Sister-In-Law Birthday in August:
-- This quote on something maybe as a print for her kitchen or on a notebook/journal - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/292734044500892318/

Multiple People / Couples:
-- Zentangle Doodle Letter Art - I'd like these for a bunch of people/couples (you dont have to do them all though!). Easy geometric shapes are fine, but I'd like them to be drawn on good art paper so I can have them framed. Letters in order of importance are B (couple), M (couple), A (adult), S (couple), A (child - boy), C (child - girl)
Here are some examples:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/36106576@N05/5937368180/
http://www.pinterest.com/mariskadenboer/zentangle-letters/

-- Yarn bowl - I don't care what it's made out of. I like these:
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/292734044499281244/
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/28991991323842216/

-- Thread & Bobbin Holder/Display Its important that it includes a place for bobbins in the matching threads
http://creativehomemakers.blogspot.com/2011/01/sewing-thread-holder.html

Extras:
-- Fabric scraps I know this isnt a handmade item, but I am just starting to get into quilting and have plans to make some small fabric items. I don't have a nice fabric stash, so I'd love any scraps (any size or type) you want to get rid of.

Daughter - Due in March:
We have all boy stuff. I don't mind pink and girly, but things don't have to be either.
-- Bibs (snap or Velcro closure)
-- Burp cloths
-- Hooded Bath Towel - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171699804513033328/
-- Ring Sling (with proper rings - not ones from the craft store) - If made in a print, I prefer something more modern. A solid color is okay too. I'd like something in black, gray, white, teal/turquoise or a combo of those for this.  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171699804513048816/

My Husband Fathers Day in June and Birthday in August:

My Mom Mothers Day in May, Birthday in December:
-- I'd love to give her a hand-stamped necklace, either with her kids' names on it (5 of us) or with my two kids names on it. I like these: - Thanks rockmygypsysoul!

Extras:
-- Fabric scraps I know this isnt a handmade item, but I am just starting to get into quilting and have plans to make some small fabric items. I don't have a nice fabric stash, so I'd love any scraps (any size or type) you want to get rid of.
