Hello there everyone! Cheesy I just finished my FIRST EVER piece of clothing yesterday, and I thought I'd share it all with you. Smiley I just recently got my first sewing machine, and I bought some red and white striped fabric. I thought that it would be a really cute skirt.

I made the skirt with no pattern, just because I thought it'd be easier than with the pattern I had already. And I was right! Making things with no pattern has been easier for some reason so far. I'm sure that I will use patterns, in fact I know I will, but for now, with things like this, it's safe to say, I'm doing "alright!"

Anyway, since I'm new here, it says I can't upload pictures yet, but I do have a picture of the skirt up on DeviantART, so here is the link:

Please comment, give feedback, etc! Like I said, I'm new, and I'd really appreciate some criticism! Cheesy

Real nice start, from what I see of your picture with your height I would make it shorter to take out some of the bulk and make it more flattering on you.  Other then that well done and keep up the good work.

Great job on your first skirt!  I still haven't ventured into clothing, so big kudos for doing so!
