The hubs and I are expecting our first baby any day now, and we just finished her nursery! I'm so ridiculously pleased with how it turned out, that I wanted to share. The baby's nursery was originally hubby's office (sorry, studmuffin!). The walls were a really gnarly yellow, and we still had the original, nasty carpets that the previous owners had. Since our baby girl's name is Alice, we went with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Without further ado, pictuuuuures!

I had my heart set on doing a mural featuring the white rabbit and the Cheshire Cat, so I tried using a projector and just kinda tracing. White rabbit's hand ended up looking awfully phallic, and I finally caved and hired the wonderful Dagmar Vaught of Palette Play here in Atlanta.

{Yep, time to let the professional step in...}

And here's the final result!!!

My crafty contributions:
-Upholstered seat under the window.
-Gallery wall arrangement.
-Filled in the tree in the mural; originally it was just an outline, but I decided to fill it in with silver paint.
-Letters above her crib spelling out her name.
-Piece for the gallery wall:

And that's it! I'm super pleased with how everything turned out. Hopefully she'll enjoy the Alice in Wonderland theme for a few years.

What a wonderful nursery for your child!

Nice that you and hubby each contributed along with the "professional"!

It turned out very classic, with room to grow as she does.  Congrats!
