The octopus is delightfully oceanic! Love the use of batik fabrics.

The record bowls make me feel so-o-o-o old. Remember making them decades ago. But I still really think it's neat to watch them melt. Must be my destruction gene at work. I feel that same rush when I'm cutting up blue jeans. Grin AIMR, surely some of those albums are scratched beyond listening use. If not I can always send you some sandpaper and nails so you can "make it so" (now I'm channeling Capt. Pickard; think I need sleep).

Bunny, congratulations on another year of happiness. Wish you & hubby many more.

Bunny, that's so sweet that you make cards for your honey. I bet he appreciates that.

I wanted to share some progress shots of some of the things I am working on, mostly to keep me accountable. If I post it, it will be done. Wink

Firstly, some quilt squares for the fake quilt square swap. This is only a fraction, I still have a lot to do. Hopefully this will keep me moving forward.

Secondly, are some mini plasticine plaques, both not finished yet. I hope to make a few more and then mold them for a project I have in mind. I have not worked on them in months. I hope that by sharing them here I will be motivated to move forward with them.

Thirdly, materials for a new project arrived today. I want to make miniature teddy bears. There's a story there but I think I will save it for another day. I bought this fabric on Etsy from a professional miniature bear-maker. It is velvety with a very short pile and won't fray when cut small. I am waiting on a miniature bear-making book I bought from Amazon before diving into this little stack of velvety awesome.

There, now, I must get back to work! Grin

aww Happy Anniversary, bunny!  Nice cards!

artsycandice--looks like a great scrappy quilt...is that the D9P? (Disappearing 9 path--a favorite and great for any beginners as well!)

Can't wait to see your miniature bears!

I was going to give this scarf away but I liked it so much I am keeping it and making something else... Grin

oh in the spirit of getting things done...

First of all, I AM NOT the "creepy" doll lady we read about in California....but, I was left with some of those dolls, and yes, I do think most of them are creepy....but, in all fairness, I think it is their clothes that give them the creep power...

so, my mission is to take the three I have (my mom loved them for some reason...), and dress them in Renaissance clothing.  I love RenFaire but do not have the stamina to make a full sized costume...here are the BEFORE pictures...look for the AFTER, hopefully, by Christmas! Grin

I am thinking a lovely green velvet gown...

A gold gown with pearl bodice.

Not sure if this was a icky boy or girl clown (hate clowns)...so I cut the hair shorter to make it look like a boy so I can dress him up in a nice vest and pants....

Aww, I like clowns. Don't love them but they're fun. I prefer fools/jesters/harlequins though. They're like clowns, only classier. Or at least, that's what I think! Lol Tongue

I don't think porcelain dolls are creepy. I had several as a little girl, and my Mom recently brought them too me. Now though, I just think they are kind of useless. I don't really love them and don't want to display them.

I can't wait to see the outfits you come up with Always.

lol Mel--yeah, not really practical, but I love making costumes of past periods, so dolls are a fun way to do this...I thought about doing Halloween costumes so that I can at least put them out on display...they will probably spend most of their time on our guest room bed collecting dust! Grin
