Thank you everyone! I can't take credit for the wings. I received goldfishpollywog's hoop before I had sent mine and she used a stitch and rip technique that I loved. I immediately knew that that is what I had to do to the wings. It did not really feel finished before that point. I wanted to add more dimension and texture, but didn't know how.

Alwaysinmyroom... I LOVE your fabric pages! If I weren't so swamped with swaps (both official and private) I'd hit you up for a personal swap to snag some of those. Wink Perhaps down the road. I love the mixed-media look with fabric and visible stitches. Just lovely!

Renstar - I love your fabric choice for the skirt. That dress is super cute too. I have never worn skulls though. (Unless you count my bird-skull necklace. HA!)

I love the skulls dress! Fabric with embroidery on it always catches my eye...lovely!

I have been hoarding my skulls and roses fabric for a special project...a dress might be what I make!

I swear, we all confess way too much on Craftster... I know I am guilty of spilling out my cheats, tricks, etc.!  No matter who or what the source and technique, I am loving your swan wings so just say, thanks, damn it! Grin and yeah, I would swap with you anytime!  I am working on a few birdie pages for a very special fabrics journal swap organizer by the name of Smmarrt... Grin

I finished another adult-sized blanket! Yay!

It's my birthday today, and I'm celebrating by not making any granny squares!!!!

ETA: it's bigger than it looks - I was standing on a chair to take this pic!

I like your skirt and dress!  I have some fabric in my stash that has been earmarked for skirts. I probably should get to sewing....

And mio, another gorgeous blanket! And happy birthday!  Enjoy your day off!  Grin

Love the geese hoopla and that's saying a lot because I don't generally like hooplas. Beautifully designed and executed.

What's with the winter themes, folks??? Hats and wintery trees - - - it's been circling 100 here for the past week or so. As my MIL would say, "I'm glowing" (translation: sweating my you-know-what off. Her explanation from her mother: horses sweat, men perspire, ladies glow); guess I'm a horse!

I do think the baby's hat with a leaf is really cute though.

Renstar, I believe you when you tell us there's a patch on your dress, but if it's on the front, I certainly don't see it. Good job!

Mio, think I like your rainbow colored blankets the best, but I really admire your willingness to make all those granny squares. I think about all the loose ends and cringe. Happy birthday!!
