I have a book that details how to do sashiko and I would love to try it sometime....

Here is my first beaded Kumihimo braid.  I should have made it a bit longer but I was able to work it out so it still fits.

I am going to do a few more of these then next I want to try a 12 strand spiral braid like this one from The Beautiful Life @BeadFX

I also need to purchase more size 6 seed beads and some of the large eye collapsible needles, or add them to my future Ongoing Wish lists!

That is GORGEOUS Lindy!

I have a finished quilt to share  Smiley it's for a baby in the extended family,Olivia who is about 2 months old now so she'll appreciate it a bit more  Wink Her Mummy has seen a pic of FB and I know she loves it.

Finished size is 36" x 46"

It's made from polycotton and the "patchwork" is printed on.

Beautiful quilt!  I need to find some of that patchwork print fabric for the next time I make a quilt!  Much easier than piecing all those squares together.  Looks neater too since my squares NEVER line up!

lovely bracelet--you did it!

k_star--do you mean the entire panel is printed like that?  wow!  Now that is a quick way to get a baby gift together!  It is adorable! What type of batting did you use?  It looks very fluffy and comfy!

Yup,the yardage is a pretty patchwork print, just follow the lines for easy quilting  Grin I'm easing myself in gently to this quilt thing  Wink
Its 4oz polyester wadding in the middle which made for a nice summery feel AND I manage to cram it through my 3/4 size sewing machine,I need a full size machine again as I have big plans *lol*

Beautiful bracelet Lindy!

What a fab way to do a quilt k-star - perfect for a nice gift when you can't spend weeks or months piecing fabric and it looks great. Smiley

I really need to try the Kumihimo braiding, it's so lovely!  I have the little disk thing, I've just never tried it...

And I need to dig out some of my unfinished quilts, too!

This thread is always so inspiring...

But on to things I HAVE accomplished, more or less...

A crane shadownbox/shrine thing that really a trial for the Whimsical Shrine swap that is accepting sign-ups right now!  *waggles eyebrows*  It's not perfect, and I don't love it (well, I love the little crane and nest, and if you want to see how that was made there's a tute here)

And I made 100 paper cranes with inspirational words and hung them on a tree for the current Craftster Challenge, you can read about the concept, etc there...

And I made a hoop for one of my partners in the hoop swap that I loved and will almost certainly have to reproduce for me at some point... it's not my idea, but I re-designed it because the ones I'd seen just weren't... centered right for me.  The flowers are from a giant book of cross-stitch patterns, the bottom modified and mirrored to be symmetrical, and the top with altered colors to match...
