I LOVE the birds!  And I'm not really into birds all that much (unlike many people in these parts  Wink) The colors are fantastic!

Excellent work carolmb!  I love the colours you chose for the blanket test. ^_^  I'm also deeply in love with the colours in that quilt! Very inspiring!

I have just finished the last of my baby blanket pattern samples.  Yay!

It's not the last one I'll make, but there's at least one of each layout finished now. Hooray!

I love the style of this blanket!  Do you think you could share the pattern for it?  I'm thinking about making a blanket to donate to my Temple's Chinese Auction and this would be a beautiful blanket to make.

I agree that the white is a bit stark on the last one.  You could water down a bit of distress ink and give it a light brush...although, I would hate to see the lovely brightness of the birds covered up...maybe you could carefully skip over them...it is still quite nice as is...do you have plans for them?

I was planning to skip around the birds. I don't have any distress ink though, is that a blackish colour? I could get much the same effect from extremely watered down black acrylic I think - my friend used to do that on his Warhammer miniatures, called a 'balck wash'.

The 4x4" ones I plan to leave around during the school holidays, as part of the Art Abandonment group on Facebook. The birds is almost 10" square, and I don't know what I'll do with it yet. I though perhaps I might sell it, but there's been no interest on Facebook at all in it's WIP state. If I do any markets when the weather warms up I might bring it with me. Most likely it'll sit in my market stock box until I need a birthday present for someone who likes that sort of thing lol. I don't really like the style enough to keep it, I just thought it would be fun to do lol.

thanks fantasticmio for letting me be one of your testers. I love the way it came out. the square pattern and the joining grid were so easy to follow.

I am thinking of doing another one in sea colors I think blues and blue greens would be amazing in one, joined with perhaps a deep sand color

Silvermoon, I'm in love with that little Skyrim weaving <3

Cool Pyramidhead FreakieGeekie - how big is it?

I can't find a ruler so I'm not 100% sure.  Huh But I do know he's taller than my male MH dolls by an inch or two. So around 12" or 13".
carolmb, I really love that quilt! I need to start figuring out the dimensions and layout for my own quilt.

Just sharing a photo that I took yesterday.  Back story:  We planted two dwarf cherry trees about seven years ago.  The last couple of years our harvest has been dismal, and before that we got nothing.  So I'm excited about these trees being full this year.  Here's the first pick from one of the trees.

These are already in the dehydrator.  The next batch will be made into pies for the freezer.
