My son wants to learn to embroider!  I may have to buy that pattern pack so he can give it go.  Oh and I need to replenish my stash of hoops.  Had such a crazy month I haven't been able to get to the store yet.  I think I am using my last hoop on an Ongoing Wish Swap claim.  May need do some digging and see if I can find another for him to try.

Love the bacon bowls!  My honey bought the as seen on TV bacon bowl maker thing but haven't tried it yet.

Love the wee bird and nest.

Your blankets look like quilts...beautifully done...glad you showed a close-up...the far away one looks like it is beige and white on my monitor!

This! It's pretty from far away, but the close up really shows how stunning it is!

Also love the hippo. (that is a hippo, I hope, now that I said it...)

Yes, he is a hippo.  His name is Phil and sometimes Dave.

The picture was taken on my parents' front lawn, so now all their neighbours think I'm nuts.  It's OK... I'm back home now. lol

That blanket is beautiful! Shocked And the hippo is cute, too.

Cool Pyramidhead FreakieGeekie - how big is it?

I made another little weaving, this one was done in the lid of an Altoid tin, and backed with black felt.

And I did some watercolor paintings, two 4x4" and one bigger one with preprinted black lines.

(it says "The Sun gave a shout of light and then, after several hours of thought, quietly retracted the statement")

What do you think of the birds? I can't tell if it's done or not. I'm toying with the idea of a very light drybrush of gold in the background, or painting the background a pale yellowish off white. But I don't want to do "too much" and spoil it. I love the drips - drips are my favourite part of watercolours, they remind me that beauty doesn't have to be perfect.

Maybe a light coffee/tea stain, or collage some old sheet music? I just don't like so much white.

Your tiny weavings are fantastic!

I also like your paintings...I agree that the white is a bit stark on the last one.  You could water down a bit of distress ink and give it a light brush...although, I would hate to see the lovely brightness of the birds covered up...maybe you could carefully skip over them...it is still quite nice as is...do you have plans for them?
