What the heck, I'm counting this one:

Dad and I decided to try making bacon bowls for dinner.  This one was mine:

Which we cooked in the microwave:

Then filled with egg:

Dad made his on a slightly bigger bowl, and we tried cooking it in the toaster oven:

It didn't turn out as well - it fell apart the moment we tried to remove it from the bowl.  It was tasty just the same, though!

I stay away for ONE day and a whole lot of awesome happens! Shocked

I'm loving pinokeeo's spoon but all of her stuff fascinates me. I love wood carvings and hope to add that to my skill set someday.

Mmmm, bacon... you can't go wrong with bacon!

Still working with my little origami birds, I added a nest and eggs.  The nest is made from twisted newspaper (in the style of the wire birds nests, only I had to use thread to weave it together) and the eggs are paper I soaked overnight then squished into little balls and let dry (harder than it sounds!).

What a pretty bird scene!  I can see using something like that in embellishing shrines, altered tins, etc. because it is so small!

Now bacon bowls are an interesting food thing...you get to eat the bowl!

Bacon bowls will definitely be on my list of things to try.  They look yummy.

I was a bit flummoxed when it came to eating it.  I ate the extra egg that was on top, but then I just put my fork down and picked up the bacon bowl to eat it a bit like a sandwich.  It stayed together right to the end!

Mio--I was wondering how one eats the bowl---I have the same problem with bread bowls and taco bowls...I just end up picking them up with my hands! Grin...food seems yummier when eaten with fingers!
