I am amazed at how people can carve like that--it must take a lot of foresight not to cut off the wrong parts!  Very interesting, pinokeeo!  I would love to see you in action...i bet it is mesmerizing to watch the spoon appear out of the wood block!

You radishes look wonderful!  I scaled back quite a bit in my garden and now sort of regret it...only tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers...I should have snuck in a few radishes and carrots!

Gotta love music. I was bugging them to let me start a music thread here, but the powers that be said NO.
I still sneak one in here and there. So far I have not been spanked.

Wonderful job on the T for your daughter, and very creative to add the director on there. I bet she looked a little, pretty, pretty wearing it for her concert ball.

Oh, and love the carvings of the spoon and celtic knot, too.

It's not too late.  Radishes grow in just a few weeks.  As a matter of fact, I'm doing a second planting, and maybe a third this year.  I'm planting every three or four weeks, so that I will have them into the fall.

And now is the time for carrots, and they will grow until the frost hits them.  After that they need to come out of the ground, but they are sweeter for the frost.

And you can grow either one or both with your tomatoes.  Companion planting is a good thing.

welcome, jemimah!!  Your list can always be found on page 1, second post....we can't wait to start seeing pictures of your projects!  You can even post completed ones into your list so that at the end of the year, you have all your pictures and completions in one spot!

k-star--that is awesome!  Even if it is a bit wonky, it will be a wonderful project!

Thanks, pinokeeo...I pretty much hate planting in the hot summer....like I said, I get lazy and just want to sit outside and sip adult beverages and read!
