That 1/2" paper crane may not be as crisp as its bigger family members but it's still down right amazing!

Agreed!

Last night my neighbour asked if me and my little man would like to go to her 3 yr olds birthday tea-party today. Of course we would!
I've been sewing since I got out of bed to make her gift  Smiley Ghilie's Cupcake doll is great for last minute gifting  Grin Little K-man and I have been watching Frozen when he's been for a sleepover so I made an Elsa-ish Cupcake (which I then had to photograph with a not-Olaf snowman)

UTM--what a fabulous t-shirt design!  I bet you are going to get some requests for that one from the little singers!  Nice way to honor the director as well...and it is a little inside secret with the group!

K-Star...wait...you made that doll today for a party today?  WOW!  It is really cute!  And it looks just like Elsa in Frozen!!

Smiley it's just after 2pm here so I've had a bit more crafting time than you Americans so far today  Wink finished in the nick of time as I have to pick Kairan up from school soon and then it's tea party time.

Lovely shirt, everyone is going to want one!

And that doll is adorable!  I need to try out that pattern... my doll sewing skills are slightly questionable, though, so it might take me a couple of days and a failed attempt or two... I'm impressed that you needed a doll, and *bam* no more than a few hours later you had an adorable (and very Elsa-like) doll!

Thanks all!  I wish I could make it for our group, but they have a new director of marketing and she asked that we not make anything with the SCC logo until they completely review our image.  Anyhow I'm hoping this more generic tee won't bother them since it's only for Lana.  Smiley  I have a ton of tee ideas, but will have to cope by just doing one offs for her.  Smiley

Kookaloo_Starr, love your Frozen doll!!  I really want to try ghlie's pattern one of these days.  Smiley

Wow! 5000 cranes is more than impressive!  I have only ever folded half a dozen.  I can't even imagine that many cranes.

Many other projects that look great.

My latest.  I went ot a show this past weekend and was asked to do a carving demonstration.  While I talked, I carved a couple of tricky items.

The first is a spoon with a captured ring, meaning that the ring is part of the spoon and doesn't come off.  The wood came from my firewood pile, so I don't even know what kind of wood it is.  I only know that it is brittle, so I won't be using this kind of wood again.

The second is a celtic tri-knot.  It was just an experiment to see if I could carve like this, but apparently someone was impressed, because I sold it.  Anyway, this one is carved from walnut, one of my favorite carving woods.

And, when I got home, I picked the first of my harvest, fresh radishes.

Hope you like them.
