It is made of cut up floppy disks...do you guys even know what those are? Grin

Ha Ha!  Yes! Now my kids probably wouldn't!  We got a house phone installed when my daughter started walking home after school by herself and she had no clue how to use it!

Using floppy discs is a grand idea!  Great re-purposing!

Pinokeeno - I was so impressed with your stuff yesterday that I actually had a dream where I was doing wood carving.  And I was really good at it which is how I know it was a dream  Wink

I was just looking at my list here and noticed that I'm behind a bit on posting blankets!

I just finished this one this morning:

I'm deeply in love with this one (and it's going to charity!)

This charity blanket looks a lot better in person:

This one is for charity, too:

I made this one for my niece to give to one of her teachers who is expecting a baby over the summer:

And I also made another stocking cap:

I just love how you combine the different sizes of squares!!  The first one appeals to me because of the brightness, but the softer ones are perfect for babies...you are quite generous in what you donate...I am not sure I could give all of those away!!

I have been doing the Stinchies Craftalong...not sure how to count this as a project...maybe when I am all done! Grin

But, so I don't seem like a slacker, I will post a few progress pictures:

My first two squares:

Thanks alwaysinmyroom! ^_^

My mom and I have an arrangement for two of the charities I make things for - she buys the yarn and I make the things.  Now that I'm an adult with a job, I contribute yarn to it, too, but she buys most of it (as my charity yarn purchases also go to a couple of charities I support on my own... it's complicated).  Anyhow, most of that baby yarn was bought by my mother with the intent of me making baby blankets out of it.

I've got a bunch of blanket patterns out for testing right now, and a bunch more that have the patterns finished but I need to make up samples for (as quickly as possible!!), so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone - make the blanket for charity while also making a sample for a pattern! :-)

And I love your Stinchies!  How many will there be in the end?

I love that stocking cap. So cute and multi-functional  Wink Cheesy And the blanket patterns are so modern and definitely unique.

Always, your stinchies are so cute. How did you attach the faces to the fabric? The stitching definitely emphasizes the faces and are so quietly beautiful. I can't wait to see more of your squares.  Smiley

I've been working on another stumpwork piece for the OWS. I'm (again) winging it as I go but I'm excited to see how it'll all finish up.

Thanks!  Mio, it is suppose to the same number of squares as your age...the original person who started this was 39, so she did 39 squares...

Since I am considerably older (biologically only!!! Grin), I would have a lap quilt sized piece!  So, to answer your question, I am doing 30 squares... Grin.

Sheepblue...good old e6000! Grin
