I love the whittled knife and that Facebook reminder is absolutely hilarious!

Well, I've been working on a distance education course and haven't been crafting as much.  I do have some finished projects to post but they're for a swap so I'm going to hold off to post until my partner receives.

My son had to create an Easter/Spring Hat for their upcoming hallway fashion show.  We decided on a bird's nest.  Here it is:

I bought the paper shreds, plastic eggs, and "birds" (the chicks were the closest to birds I could find) at Buck or Two, and the rest of the supplies came from around the house.  Originally, we created a nest separate from the hat and wanted to attach it but things were getting lop/heavy-sided so we settled for glueing the paper to the hat itself.  The branch makes the project "stick out" a bit more.  =)

April/May 2014
1. Welcome the change in season projects--spring, pastels, flowers, Easter, new clothes or home decor ...

I created a spring bolero jacket (spring in Minnesota is still a bit nippy!):

(More pictures at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432889.msg5185107#msg5185107).

I also made tie-backs for my sons' curtains to let in some sunshine!

awww--what a cutie with his Easter hat!!!  Love the branch!

I like those tie backs!  I need some of those, too...I just realized that I could use those command hook thingies to hold them instead of making more holes in the wall!! Thanks for posting!

Cute jacket--in time for cool spring weather (although it snowed here...sucks!)
