Everybody is making such wonderful things.  I love everything, but I have a hard time keeping up.

It's been three months since my surgery.  I'm halfway through my healing process and I decided to try carving something.  Please don't laugh too loudly.  This is my first attempt for awhile.  It's a simple carving, a whittled knife.  It's made from a piece of weeping cherry, pulled from my firewood pile.  Makes a pretty good letter opener, though.

Pinokeeo: That is a lovely carving none the less.

I forgot to mention, my prize goodies turned up during the week.

I was so excited, but one of my crackle paints was totally dried up, and some items were out of stock. The customer service was excellent and I am pleased to say I got alternatives to the out of stock items and a replacement for my dried up paint.

Happy me.  Now to play.

Working on Lana and her cousins' summer outfits!  This was the first time Lana didn't help me with these...usually I tie and she dyes.

I am LMAO!  Grin Just kidding. I really like your letteropener, pinokeeo. It has a very rustic sense to it.
I have whittled with white cedar before, and love the tranquility of "going with the grain", so to speak.
I am glad you are healing. Now you need to carve a paperweight, and your desktop will be complete  Grin Oh, and maybe a matching pencil holder cup, too. Just ideas.

Pinokeeo - I think the letter opener is very nice rustic, you'll be back on your carving feet in no time is that's how well the healing is going!

Underthemountain - Ooooh, I love the tie-died stuff, especially the heart shape.  How did you tie/bundle it to get that shape?!

A few things I've managed to accomplish lately... actually I have a few more things, but they're for swaps and will have to wait.

Snail, sent back with the LV swap:

And while I was at it, another bracelet I decided to make, a triple wrap bracelet with a dragonfly catch:

Hi Smeddley!  It's easy!  You fold the tee in half and lightly draw a half heart shape.  Then you start bunching it up from the bottom so that it all falls in a straight line and then place a rubber band on it.  Then make other bands before dying it.  Smiley  There are You Tube videos that show it. Love those shirts, UTM! And am looking forward to the day that Lana is old enough to swap on craftster as a teen/adult. Love her Peeps family gathering. So talented . . . just like her mother.

Thank you kbrison!  Smiley  That is so sweet of you to say.  Smiley  She was very proud of her Peeps take on Modern Family; her Gloria Peep was rather well endowed.  LOL.

pinokeeo - That letter opener looks great. There's definitely more precision involved with woodwork that I have the ability to pull off.

UTM - love the tie-dyed shirts! Lana looks so cute in hers  Cheesy

Smeddly - That snail is awesome! I love the yarn you used in the shell. It forms perfect stripes

that1girl - Love the booties! I tried to make some for my soon-to-be-born niece and just didn't have the patience for the fiddly work.

So I've been quiet for a while. Really, I've been obsessed with screen printing again. I finally cracked the code to liquid emulsion screen printing (more like I finally got the guts to try it, and didn't completely screw it up - yay!) and have been making up tons of new screens and prints to work with. Here's some of my favorites..
