Oh.  Cry

Despite it's wonkiness, I loved that top.

Unfortunately, OH did the washing one time and now this is but a fraction of the original size.  If I get myself focussed and lose weight, it may fit as a very chunky vest top.

In his favour, he was mortified when he realised what he had done, I think he needs more practise at sorting the washing. I am less upset than I would have been, had the yarn not ben free.

Sorry to hear your top is now a vest, Renstar. But at least it could still be used Smiley

Here's my little Cicero amigurumi:

Ok,

So I've been super quiet. Like, really, really quiet here. Want to know why?

I was getting ready for Pi Day by making all of these:

That's seventeen pi. 16 of which have been made this year. Most this month, including the purple ones.

And then I went to my hometown and left them all over the place, which is way too many photos to post here, but I have a public album on Facebook

I will share this one though, because I'd like to add I also made a Banoffee Pie for the first time (but not the last because it was delicious!) and I made the chocolates on top as well:

It's been nearly 2 months since I last posted so I've got a lot of catching up to do!

My most recent project is this Silver Fox mast that I made to wear to the Arcade Fire concert this past week.
It started with a mask form, to which I added the ears. It's covered in white and silver tissue paper cut into little triangles. The close up shows the "fur" detail that the triangles provided.

Next up is this mini Doctor Horrible crafted for the Geeky swap. Made of sculpey.

On the theme of Sculpey, here's a little dragon that I crafted for my Valentine.

I also stitched a Happy Bunny hoop for the geeky swap.

I'll end off this post with a miniature dropcap painting featuring the Strawberry Thief from on of William Morris' designs. This was created during a William Morris page layout design workshop hosted by my calligraphy guild.

I have a few more projects to post when I'm less tired, but then I'll have to start planning new projects.

Happy crafting!

A little late but here is my pi day pie

Crustless low sugar sweet potato pie (one with and one without brown sugar pecan topping)

And of course it is one of my usual "throw ingredients together and hope" recipes but it comes out to 2 pies and each only has half a cup of sugar but depending on how sweet you want it and if you want to use artificial sweeteners (I didn't want to)

Ingredients:
3 sweet potatoes boiled and mashed with 3 tbs butter
1 cup of milk
5 eggs
Dash real vanilla
1 cup of white sugar (double if you want it really sweet)
Pie spice to taste

Directions:
After boiling, peeling and mashing the sweet potatoes beat all the ingredients with beaters and pour into 2 oiled Pyrex pie pans (or uncooked crusts if you have them though it won't be gluten free) and bake at 350 for 35 mins then add topping (or not) and reduce heat to 325 for 15 mins

Topping
Brown sugar
Butter
Pie spice
Chopped pecans
(Melt butter and sugar together and stir in pecans and season then spoon on top)
