Two more projects down ...

Bus art for quaggy in the OWS swap (she received so all is good) - this is the first time I used buttons to make art, and it was pretty fun!

I am also working on items for my mantle for Valentine's Day (with the help of some craftster swap friends Wink). I made this on picmonkey and had it printed as an 18x24 posted for the main focal point of my Vday mantle

Its been a crafty weekend over here at chez elyxandra!

I completed my first two snowpeople (I have enough crew socks to make 12) and I think they turned out oh so cute! I received a sock snowman in a swap a while back and have been wanting to make some ever since.

I also made my first floating necklace from supplies and instructions I received in a zine swap in 2012.

Now I need to get to work on some craft-swap items, which won't be posted for a while.

Those snow people are SO cute!!  Surely I can make those...right?!  Tongue  (Two minutes ago didn't know they existed; now I don't know how I'm living without them!)

I'm sure you can! There's a no-sew version here
I opted to sew the bottom shut on mine.

The great thing is that you can customize them however you want. I was thinking they'd make great teacher gifts with details relevant to the teacher's subject - for example, the snowflake charm could be replaced with something to do with art or science.

That's a great idea and thanks for the link!  No snow here in Texas but I think a couple of these around the holidays might help generate holiday spirit!!  Plus I love how you did the cheeks!

Oh, it must the time for it! I've got to clean out and resort my craft stuff too! I'm not lucky enough to have my own craft room, or a garage (or basement) but just a shelf in the laundry, and a small "pile" area next to the school bag shelves. Since it's so small, it fills up and over pretty quick, and it's so messy right now I'm going to have to pull the whole lot out and start again.

But first, strawberry brownies (a "project" recipe) and some fresh strawberry muffins because I found 69c/pound punnets the other day, so I bought 5. And since I made fresh strawberry ice cream just last week, I'm wondering exactly what to do with two and a half kilos of strawberries lol. If I clean before I cook, I won't get the cooking down, but if I cook first, I'll still be 'gung ho "let's get things done" mood' until I'm actually cleaning. Time for the emergency Cat Empire cleaning music Wink

Finished the number one project on my list:  an infinity scarf knitted from the scrumptious hand spun yarn that jexxican sent me in a swap:

I'm so in love with these colors....

We have an over abundance of snow this year up here in Ontario!
The cheeks are a small dab of bright pink eye shadow Smiley

The calendar is beautiful. Every year, I think I am going to make myself one but I never do!

The snowmen are very cute.

The infinity scarf seems very soft and snugly

Great job starting the spring cleaning in January, ladies! After that, you can come clean my teenage daughter's room. Grin All of you, that might be needed!

I know that button bus was well received!  What a fun thing that your partner is a bus driver!!!

That infinity scarf really shows off the beautiful yarn!

Loving those little snow people...you guys quit making cute things that I never knew I needed!!!!

Sending out three swap packages tomorrow, so I will have some things to show off soon!
