You are crazy!!  I read that as 100, too...1,000 hats? oh wow...we are cheering you on!!!

Why, thank you! ^_^

I read an article about a lady who did it last year and it inspired me.  I'm just worried that I'll run out of yarn, of all things!

When the word gets out that might be less of a problem.
I do a hat or two every month for charity as part of Nerd Wars, and when people found out, they started giving me bags of yarn. My cousin was helping a church friend clean out her garage before moving to a retirement home, and came to my house with a full SUITCASE of yarn.  Shocked That's my charity stash, because it's mostly varigated with short colour runs, and I don't like the way they work up looking like camo print, but it's saved me a heap for the charity hats.

I just wish overseas postage didn't cost so much - I'd happily donate a bag or so to your efforts!

fishstix43 I know how you feel! I've been working on a full length Doctor Who scarf, because it's almost two months late (I was crazy to think I could get it done in one month though, especially right before Xmas) and I'm barely half done. I've got about another 50 hours to go on it, so I think I might take a short break to do some instant gratification projects too! I did make a super cool tart from a strange recipe that I'm totally counting as a project, but I need to decorate the top, get a picture, and then subject the in-laws to a taste test before sharing it though.

I am currently battling some crochet baby converse booties. I have teeny tiny hooks and yarn that is too big, but the guy at work, (well his wife has chosen the colour scheme), who wanted them wants grey and white and it is not so easy to find grey baby yarn!

I had at least another 4 weeks, but they think the baby will be early!

If I get time I may make a more general pair as well, will see how generous I feel.

Great posts guys, in the space of a day, I missed 4 pages , amazing.

Most definitely!  Much like how some of my projects will hopefully NOT have to be done by me but I figured I'll list 'em now and if someone claims something, I can just replace it with the swap project  Grin

I learned something new: with a little patience one can make a bow, arrows and quiver for a doll using yarn, felt, hemp cord, hot glue and plastic canvas:

A huge thanks goes out to alwaysinmyroom for sending me the plastic canvas!  Kiss

Tinybits, the infant boots are lovely, and white is a great color choice. It makes the design more important. I would enjoy some similar boots for myself!

The American stocking is super cute and fun and bright, jfer007. The rainbow embroidery is very inspiring. I want to be more positive and find the good in everyday too, especially when the grumpy mood gets me.

Texscrapper, the bunting is beautiful and cheerful. I love buntings. I should make one for myself. Hum, for my house I mean, not to wrap around my head!

FreakieGeekie, groovy archery set. Does the bow really send arrows?

CHALLENGE ENTRY - wintery colours - white/blue

Here's my 1st little finish for the year - some baby gifts for my Boss who is having a little boy in Feb.

5 little baby washcloths and 3 pairs of socks (1 newborn size, 2 slightly larger). The socks were made last year but the washcloths were started on 31/12/13 and finished on 4/1/14 Smiley

and just because I am so happy with how it turned out, here it is all prettily wrapped up for her  Grin:

so thats 7/50.
