Here are my first three projects. Three sets (of six) washcloths made on my pot holder loom. I think they are too small to use as pot holders so I'll use them as washcloths or dish cloths instead. Made with a mix of Peaches n' Cream and Sugar n' Cream cotton yarns.

Okay, all of this yarn goodness is KILLING ME! You guys are all AMAZING!

I never did get the crochet *hooks* out last night.  Every time I do, Hubster groans and says "not again" and the children start counting the swear words and planning the vacation that I will be paying for via the swear jar.

They are all sleeping right now, so maybe I can try without having to pay $20 to the jar. Smiley

lol   now that my mom lives with us, I am going to have to start a swear jar for me and my hubby! lol

I am impressed by people tackling wips and learning new skills!

All of the washcloths are making me want some...mine never turn out square, but I use them anyway...they also make great little trivets for hot mugs of soup or coffee...

I have a lot of catching up to do...this weekend...and I better get a head start on the January challenge!

that1girl--I see you are already hitting the yarn projects! lovely cowl!  You know I "steal" your ravelry links...I love the free projects you find!

Pixieval--those are lovely curtains for a child's room...or a craft room....love the bright colors!

First project of 2014: a knit baby cardigan.

This will be going to my goddaughter of five months. Started working on it Dec 29th, just finished today. I learnt some new skills! I learnt the cable-cast on method, I knit my first button holes, I learnt how to neatly attach a vertical panel of knitting to a horizontal panel of knitting and I successfully steam-blocked acrylic. I did it during assembly, because all that stockinette is just so unruly!

Before steam-blocking:

I want in!  But I have no idea how to do that linky thing you all are talking about.

And can I list things as I make them or think of them?
They can be swap items, too, right?
And they can be pretty much anything?  So I can cook or paint or write? Pretty much anything creative?
Is there a minimum amount of time that must be spent on each project? Is there a maximum amount of time?

Sorry to be so clueless...  Roll Eyes

Thanks for all the kind words about the shawl, gang! I NEVER get around to crafting for myself- it's always for someone else. Bestie made me PROMISE I would make this for myself, I can't wait to wear it! My classroom is always cold, and we're getting a cold front next week, so I'm gonna bust it out in all its glory on Tuesday. The best part? Many of my students crochet, so we can talk technique!

That entrelac scarf looks amazing so far, and your completed scarf is awesomesauce personified, Ffrog526!
Michelleandbean- I can't believe that you got dishcloths from your first crochet attempt! That's really cool!
Alwaysinmyroom- pm your email address and I'll be happy to share the pattern for the cape.
