I have a few more things in transit, and one to share. No new tools broken out just yet, as I have still more pressing crochet to do, but I did salvage a bit of wood from the back shed for a wood burnt sign. As soon as I knock out two pairs of booties. And a puppet.

My niece turns 16 tomorrow, and she wanted a sock monkey hat like the one Misha Collins has.

I love teenagers who ask for hand made things. It's so much easier than trying to find commercial things they'd like, and if they ask for it, you know they'll appreciate it. This is the same niece I made Dalek gloves for last year, and she loved them to bits (not literally - thank goodness for hard wearing acrylic!)

oh sheepblue--welcome back...and what a welcome...your bags are just full of so many recognizeable details!

carolmb--you sure knocked out those quilt blocks quickly--wow,,,36 in such a short time...that is like making a couple of quilts!

I love what you did with the stray blocks!

Silvermoon--I love the adult sock monkey hat!  What a cool teenager she is!  I hope she follows more in your footsteps and learns to crochet herself!

Love all the awesomeness here!!  One thing that I really want to do is make a simple quilt so thanks for sharing yours carolmb.  I made a king sized one for my brother years ago out of simple squares and haven't tried it since.  I have lots of scraps that I could use.  I really should give it a go again!

ya welcome and i love quilting, put off for years even trying. wanted too but was scared i would fail. What I have learned is there is no perfect quilts, and as long as its made with love and given with love. People enjoy them so that is what counts to me

Thanks!  You know that is what keeps me from trying to.  I want everything to be perfect the first time around.  Smiley

Holy Moly sheepBlue!  I love those bags!  Just made my first patches a few weeks ago and really liked making them.  I was thinking about doing more.  Your bags are an inspiration!
