Japanese paper cutting is called kirigami...this site has a lot of free patterns...sort of like cutting out snowflakes like we did as kids!

There is a free weekly pattern!

The birdies are adorable!
And art abandonment is such a nifty thing. My kiddo found a round glass peace sign sun catcher-kiln made!-in our library, hidden away with a note. And then she made a present of it to me. It's hanging in my kitchen window, and makes me smile.
I love the jewelry, but especially the tree of life in the triangle frame.

AIMR - Here's the link to make those nests.  Just scroll down a bit for the crochet pattern.  There's an address to mail them to if you want but I'm sure you have a local water fowl rescue or wildlife animal rescue that could use them.  http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/nest.html

Cute birds, AIMR!  The whole "abandoned art" thing really appeals to me.  Such a great way to lift someone's spirits! You never know who really might need that.

I really like that rainbow tree, too!  Wire wrapping is one of those crafts I have yet to master....someday.... Roll Eyes

so yeah...I'm still alive.  heh.

I've just been working SO hard on my cross stitch project that I haven't really done anything else except some school work and pin like crazy on Pinterest.  and next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I get a good portion of my days taken away from me due to recovery from surgery.  but if it's like others have told me (and my doctor), it won't be so bad.  I may still be able to work on my cross stitch since it's not another shoulder surgery.  Tongue

not only am I obsessed with this project, we're also in the process of getting ready to move so a lot of my stuff is packed away.  I have felt and beads I can play with, but none of the stuff I want to work on from my list is accessible.  so, it's just me and my cross stitch.

that is a great idea UTM!  I think they would also make pretty neat notecards and stencils for totes, etc.  Some of them are "ok" but others are really pretty!

Wow, you have all been busy! but alwaysinmyroom, I did not make moonshine wine. It is made with fresh distilled water, and no chemicals are used in my yard where I picked flowers. I made with just yeast and sugar. natural. I am a hippy girl  Cheesy And I let the animals and bugs have their fill out there. I share. If I don't get enough of garden something, I go buy it. We are rural here, and everyone has enough.

But wonderful shares. Too much to comment on. But I love all the eye candy!

I have to be in court tomorrow, but I put together some "lap projects" to do while I wait my turn. Nothing big for court...just child support. But his name is Vickers...we will be last  Roll Eyes I plan to sit there a while.

I found a good purse to double as a tote bag  Grin And it matches my dress. Now to shave my legs  Cheesy

I love all my craftster friends. Thanks for listening.

Thanks for the kirigami links, AIMR.  I am so far behind on my paper crafting.

My latest projects that actually are finished.

First, I made dice.  These are woodburned and so easy to make.  I'll probably include them in some of my homemade games.

My second items is a board challenge entry.  I'm calling this Sidewalk Scrabble.  I cut and sanded all the pieces and stencilled on the letters and number values.  I'll be taking these to another location where the kids will be painting the letters on, then they will play scrabble on a basketball court.

There are 100 tiles in the set, and the two blanks are included.

For size reference.  I'll probably make another set of these in a smaller version for myself and my family.

I don't know if you can read this.  It says, play scrabble.

This was a fun project and it only took one day to make these.
