fantasticmio, I love that blanket. You could always add a thick boarder to get it there. Wink

Thanks bookstorebabe. It's kind of cool to see it all in one place.

I hope everyone in the USA is enjoying our 4th of July!  There is nothing like outdoor cooking, listening to music, crafting, and waiting for fireworks!!!

Happy 4th of July from wintry Wellington!  Grin

I have been having a great week on holiday. Most of my crafting has been for swaps, so I can't post pics yet, but I did get some of my pics organised for projects done earlier this year. Prepare for pics!!

My hubby got me a new phone!! so I had to make a communicator cosy Smiley

I've also been doing lots of knitting (pattern details here). Smiley

And I turned an old book into a stationery/mail art folder!

And I even made a bunch of cards for swaps, using a beautiful stamp Limeriot made for me. Now I'll have to do lots more swapping to use these up ... Cheesy

Wow! This summer is shaping up to be beautiful all over the place!

I love the beautiful bracelets and all the great fiber arts.  Bunny1, your sewing machine cover is great!  I love the "patchwork" blanket Kookaloo -- I'll have to keep an eye out for those types of panels.  And fantasticmio, your blankets are gorgeous.

Smeddly, I love the "lady" hoopla, as well as your hooplas, artsycandice, especially the Capricorn (my sign!).  And the dolls and your ATC - especially the "Royal Crow" -- wonderful!

Beautiful knits, jemimah, especially the grey lace.  and I'm filing away the communicator cozy idea for a Christmas present....

I've been busy, but it's been all over the place with different kinds of crafts.  I'll post more over the weekend, but here's what I happened to have photos for.

25. Doll dress

I took two of my inherited antique dolls in for repair, and I was embarrassed that Gretchen had nothing to wear.  So, a quick dress with a lined bodice and built in petticoat.  And clean undies, of course.

26. Cookie selection

One of my much loved neighbors got a job offer he couldnt refuse, and sold the house.  Since he always enjoyed the cookie platters I make for neighbors for Christmas, I made him a selection of little bite sized cookies for the drive to Indiana.  Chocolate chunk with walnuts, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter/chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle cookies.

27. Knitting needle roll

For a friend who loves pink, and whose needle collection is rapidly growing.  Made with some beautiful pink and green marbled fabric thats been sitting in my stash forever.

28. Raspberry icebox pie with chocolate graham cracker crust
I didnt think to take a picture of the pie whole, and it went too quickly to get a shot of a slice.  (*I* didnt even get a slice!)  it was delicious, but I think I need to tweak the recipe a bit.

29. Cheese board

Made from a piece of pretty oak I had, and made in part to try out a friends dremel tool as a router.  Not a cutting board; the woods not hard enough.  But its very pretty as part of a charcuterie table.  I saw something just like this at Pottery Barn for $25.

30. Lavender sleep pillow and sachets

Harvested and dried the first flush of lavender buds, so I made this little set for my mother, who loves lavender.

31. Tie dye

When life gives you $2 white tee shirts you make tie dye!  The circle pattern is straightforward tie dye, but the striped one uses shibori pleating.  I have a more dramatic set I did using shibori techniques that Ill post later, but I was pleased to get mostly the effect I wanted.  And yes, the colors really are that bright!

32. Buckwheat pillow cover

While sorting thru a stack of fabric I found this pretty flannel.  Having excavated my sewing machine for another project, I made a quick replacement for my buckwheat pillow.

33. Papier mache bowls

One of the best things about being crafty is youre always looking for how to make things more your own, if not prettier. I went to a party where the only food I was responsible for was chips and pretzels.  I couldn't leave well enough alone, but I certainly wasnt going to make chips and pretzels for a crowd so I made the bowls, from newspaper and pretty wrapping paper.  Disposable, but pretty!

Ive got a bunch more completed projects I need to take pictures of, and a few more in the pipeline its shaping up to be a fun summer!

Craft on, everyone!

Alright - I've been MIA from this thread for a while!   Cry  I've done some crafting.  Not nearly as much as I'd like.  But everything I'm working on right now is a big project.  I have 2 blankets going, a summer weight sweater (that I may get to wear next year), my first pair of socks, a sweater that become a dress that has to be unknitted a bit, and a shawl.  Earth to self!  Finish a project!  LOL   Roll Eyes

Mio - I LOVE your blanket!  What size squares did you use?  I think making one of those would be soooo much fun!  And I mean...  I have nothing else to do.  Wink

Jemimah - I just finished the same chevron scarf pattern!  I love your yarn though!  How did you seam the two pieces together?

yofi - the tye-dye looks like fun!  And I like the cheese board!  Great work!

yofi, what an amazing array of fantastic craftiness!!  Smiley I love the tie dye! The cookies are making me very hungry though ...

Jemimah - I just finished the same chevron scarf pattern!  I love your yarn though!  How did you seam the two pieces together?

I didn't! Just one piece - both ends look fine, just not the same. My ends don't match and I don't care Cheesy

Looking forward to seeing your version!

Yofi!!!  wonderful projects...I love how your shibori turned out...it is a very interesting technique, is it not?

The variety of crafting you do is impressive!  From baking to woodworking... Grin

jemimah...I am also a huge stitch marker user when doing lace...I use lots of little circles in different colors and write down my codes...I love lace knitting almost as much as sock knitting!  lol I popped in here tonight to grab that chevron scarf pattern because I am determined to use up some of my leftover sock yarns!
