Aww...All of you guys are so awesomely sweet!  Thanks for the kind words!  I will take updated pictures with it actually holding some jewelry.  Because ChameleonHound is right, I will feel better once I use it.  Tongue

Kbrison:  I ~love~ those soaps.  I tried soap-making once.  I loved it.  But, I have the attention span of a flea and never tried it again.  I might have to dig out the supplies and...no.  Not another craft until I at least finish my WIPs.
Naantje:  that is so AWESOME!  Congrats!

Pixieval:  Those curtains make me want to pull out my machine and start making a patchwork quilt.

Everyone I missed mentioning by name:  It's because they are all yarny projects and I draw complete blanks due to crafting envy.

congrats on the pinning!  It is very nice when others like your ideas...we are a sharing community...as long it is not stealing art work and designs, I am all for pinning for inspiration!

I should have some pics of old, 2013, and new stuff...keep the projects coming, everyone!  Spread the word...post here and "out there"

I love finding my stuff pinned on pinterest!  Cheesy  It always gives the warm fuzzies!  Congrats Naantje!!

A couple people have asked me for the "pattern" I used to make my scrap scarf.  I'm on my way to start typing it up.  Its really super duper easy.  Cheesy  It'll be posted ASAP!

I finished my first project of 2014 last night! Grin I made some gathered fabric bowls. They ended up being a little smaller/shallower than I anticipated, but I really like them. They also count as an organizational item for the January craft challenge!

Love those bowls. May have to look at doing something similar. They would be really nice for displaying things at a craft show.

Those fabric bowls are great!  Thanks for the tutorial because I could totally find myself making some of those.  Smiley  Speaking of tutorials..........  Wink

Scrap Stained Glass Scarf
I used worsted weight yarn and a size G hook.  I used Red Heart, Vanna, Marble Chunky, etc that was left over from various projects.

Chain 35 with black.

Row 1: Using black, sc into 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.  34 sts.  Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: sc in each st across.
Row 3: Using next color, ch 3 (counts as first dc), skip first st, dc into next st, hdc in next st, sc into next st.  *ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc into next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, tr in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st* rep twice. Ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in each of the next two sts.
Row 4: Ch 3, skip first st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st. *ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc into next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, tr in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st *rep twice.  Ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 2 sts.
Row 5: Using black, ch 1, sc into first 4 sts, sc into each of the free sts in the previous black row (covering the ch2 spaces), *sc in next 10 sts, sc in free sts from previous black row as before* rep twice.  Sc in next 3 sts, sc in 3rd ch of previous row.  Ch 1, turn.
Row 6: sc in each st across.
Row 7: Using another color,*sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, tr in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st, ch 2, skip 2 sts* rep 3 times.  Omit ch 2 last time.
Row 8: Repeat row 7.
Row 9: Using black, ch 1 *sc into next 10 sts, work sc into each of the free sts from the previous black row (covering the ch 2 spaces)* rep 3 times.  Ending with 10 sc.

Repeat rows 3 through 9 until scarf is desired length.  Ending scarf with row 6.

My fianc also crochets and knits so I had him test this pattern before I put it up here.

Please let me know if you a) try this pattern and b) find mistakes!

There's a pattern on Ravelry that's very similar but its worked longways.  This is not the pattern I used but I thought it might be helpful.  Smiley  Enjoy!
