I made a black scarf using some lace-y yarn my mom gave me!

I have a few other items, but they are for swaps. It's just nice to have something completed!

I'm  just posting a quick update. Am now at the halfway mark thanks to the skull swap . Actually, if I finalize a couple of bits that I didn't think were good enough, I will be over halfway!

I can't post pictures just yet as they haven't arrived.

So, with this revelation in my head, I decided to do a list and stock check.  I now only have 2 wips. My quilt and my finger less mitts. I have decided to hold off any new swaps because work is eating my time and focus on these 2 things. Until I decided to test crochet for fantasticmio! Now up to 3 wips.  Grin

There are also a couple of good swaps coming up.......

I am loving all the recent projects, there has been loads of amazing stuff.  All very inspiring.

I'm bombarding you with pics for this as I am over the moon with how it turned out  Grin I did new things (for me) like using my walking foot, making a bias binding and using something other than a straight stitch on my machine  Roll Eyes
Pattern is "Hard Candy" table topper from Quilting Quickly magazine but for me it is "You Are My Sunshine" and will hang on the wall, all the other flat surfaces in the house are in use  Wink

It's not perfect but it is PERFECT  Cheesy

K-star--you are having such fun with your new quilting skills!  You should make sure to post in the quilting forum to show it off!

It does look like a happy sun!

I love the ruffly scarf...I am going to see if that yarn is on sale as I do want to try it this fall!

I finally sent the extra quilts blocks to donniesgirl for her fabulous quilt...the first ones I sent were too small so I volunteered to make them correctly...she will use the small ones for the back...see, even experienced quilters screw up...ha ha

More swap things have arrived at their destination, and I've been sidetracked with other little projects, so prepare for a LOT of pictures...

First up, for the Fairy Tale Swap:

Feather stitch markers:

Mad Hatter Hoop:

Mermaid needlebook:

Six wing toggle wrap bracelets:

Then...

Yellow and purple button hoop for my mom for mother's day:

And two sets of really big, chunky bracelets for a friend who wanted less "gym-looking" arm weights.  Worn together, they're close to a pound on each arm, which isn't much until you've worn them a few hours.  Even things like holding your hands up over the keyboard to type gets more tiring!

I have some beads to do some more, but swap deadlines were looming, so I put that project on hold for a moment... she's worn them a few times and likes them, though, so I will be finishing them at some point.

Kookaloo, you're getting so good at the quilting skills. I think you need to consider joining the quilt block swap. We'd love to have you as a part of our group.

Jfer007, I've made several of the ruffled scarves, but have never seen that lace yarn. Very, very feminine and classy!

Smeddly, love the wide variety of your skills. Think the mermaid is my favorite.

AIMR, not sure where you found the time or dedication to remake Donniesgirl's blocks, but you did a great job! Hope things are improving for you.

The quilt block swap is something I have my eye on for the future,I want to make up a few blocks for myself to make sure I can get the sizing right before jumping in as the things I've made so far didn't matter if they were slightly off.

Fab squares Always  Smiley

LOVE the super-chunky arm weight bracelets Smeddley, excellent idea.

Love all the new project that have been posted!  I pinned the Hatter hoop and really like those bracelet/weights.

I made a ton of stuff over the weekend including some (gasp) gold tone jewelry for myself.  Everything else is for swaps so I can't post yet..
