I revamped a trinket shelf for my nieces a while back http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=422483.0#axzz2ivhWQXxo,
and decided I needed a similar one for myself. The hardest part was finding the actual shelf to reconstruct, since I wanted a big one Smiley

Found the right shelf! Removed a few shelves, made a few repairs, sanded it down and was ready to go Smiley

Deciding on colour and paper was difficult for this one, but in the end I settled on green.

Finished! Everything glued in place, coated and "roughened up" a bit

A new home for our gashapons. Doesn't Chi look happy?

And finally, on the wall in all it's glory. I'm rather pleased with it Smiley

Now onto the next project - an advent calendar!

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

I rocked you! Not exactly sure what your collection is about, but it looks wonderful the way you have presented it. And a great tutorial for other collectors of the mini style critters and fairy creatures, or anything else. Great job! And great choice of papers to highlight the little "things".

Ooo! I don't have quite that many gashapons but I could definitely use something this cool to put them in! Chi does look happy! Chii!  Cheesy

...Wonder if I could find one big enough to hold all my Pez....lol

I have several shadow boxes I want to try this on. Very inspiring. I think this would be a good way to use the tiny scraps of favorite paper I save that is out of print.

I have one from childhood, wrapped up in a box with all my miniatures.  I love your project and it has inspired me.  I'm going to pull it out and make "scenes" based on the miniatures I have!  Thank you for sharing!
