When I moved into my flat, I treated myself to some lovely new furniture, all from Ikea Wink (Great place btw!) and became completely paranoid about get a variety of colourful stains on my lovely new white table (after all I am a bit on the clumsy side!)

So found a cute little tutorial on line (http://ayumills.blogspot.co.uk/2010/05/quilted-placemats-tutorial.html and grabbed my quilting gear and got to work.

And here's the result:








And this is how I store them under the table



This look pretty simple to make, but I didn't realise how time consuming they would be.  I took me forever and a day to to sow the 'straight' lines down the white section!
