This video shows my machine and the problem.

The machine is a Singer computer 7900, which as far as I can tell is a Japanese only machine, though it appears similar to other computer machines. What I want to do right now is to remove the cover, but I haven't figure out how to do it. I have taken off two screws on the back top, and I can take off the bottom, and a small screw near the power cord. BUT I can't figure out what else I would need to to get the top off. Any hints?

Thanks in advance for any help... Smiley

Hi and welcome to Craftster! Smiley

Sorry you're having problems with your machine. However, since I do not have the model in front of me it would be hard to know what you're missing to get the cover off.

This site has loads of help for repairing older Singer models:
http://www.fixya.com/

You may find the solution there, and hopefully it is something simple. Hope this helps.
