My nephew Bradley has been a lacrosse player for about 4 years now and loves the sport with a passion.  When I asked him what kind of blanket he would like me to make for him for his birthday he did not hesitate when he said a lacrosse player. 3 months later; here are the results.  I am stoked and this was his reply when he saw it after I messaged him.

"Omg!!!!! That is feakin' awesome!!!! That's looks amazing!!!! I never thought it would look so awesome!!! Thanks so much Auntie Bev! It looks awesome!! Thank you!"

Pretty nice eh? (I know, my Canadian is showing.) I received 2 thank you's and 3 awesome's and 1 amazing!

Crocheted with Red Heart Yarn using afghan stitch. Thanks for looking.

It is amazing! I love the afghan stitch...very time consuming, but well worth it in the thickness of the crochet. You did a wonderful job. Glad your nephew is pleased with it, as well. I'm not sure how you managed a piece this large with that stitch, though. My largest length hook is 14"...yours must have been a mile long!  Grin There, my American showing. I don't know the kilometer equivilant.  Cheesy It is sure to be very warm and durable. Great job.
