I think I just did a little whip stitch (nobody's going to see that bit because it's wedged between your device and your arm or leg), but honestly I can't remember. Anybody else?

I don't see why you couldn't fold it, iron it - not sew it yet (so you can see the dimentions) unfold it sew it to the ribbon and then sew the sides.  make sense?
