I've been the blanket queen this year. This is my 4th crochet blanket for the year, and was originally going to be for my brother for Christmas. But, once I started putting the colors together, I realized it would be better suited for my husband's grandparents.  Although, truth be told, I love it and want to keep it.  I will be making another, for sure!

I did seven rows of the blue (it's just the "v" stitch across), then 2 rows of white, then 3 rows of grey, then 2 rows of white, and repeat. I repeated 5x.

And, here's a close up of the stitch work:

I'm now obsessed with this pattern, and the endless ways to do different colors and stripe patterns. And it's easier, for me, than the ripple design.

Like the way the afghan turned out. I've made several styles of ripple afghans in the past, but think I'd enjoy making the v-stitch more, just like you do. Maybe I'll start one after the holidays. Have another great-great due in June, so need to make him/her a blanket. How many skeins did you use for the adult size?

I used Lion's Brand Homespun USA and I think this one was like 14 skeins. I made one for my sister with the same yarn, but it was just rows of v stitch and then a round or two of double crochet border and it was about 18 skeins. This one measures is probably about 50x75 give or take a bit.

I love the v pattern in this.  Your colours choices are lovely.
