Tonight, after putting all 3 kids to bed at the same time (yeah, really!!!) I had the urge to 1. take out the recycling and composting bin by the road for tomorrow's pick-up and 2. Walk to the mailboxes across the street. And guess what? beautiful package awaiting!!!

I even haven't oppenned it yet that it smelled wonderful.

Brace yourself:

I awed, and I owed and then I huged it.

But then I oppenned the other package:

!!!!!!!!!! She just has the perfect expression on her face! I will cherish it endlessly!

Her new home to protect my kitchen, for everyone to see!

The card and the lavender smelling soap. Both lovely, lovely things!!

Thank you so much Ludi!!!! I'm having a major swap anxiety now!

Oh, Ludi! Both the Green Man and Kitchen Witch are brilliant! Is the KW's head polymer clay? She has a wonderful face!

Here's the haul I got from Monnie31 today. It came in a huge box, so I thought it might be one of Monnie's epic packages, but it was mostly packing material! Cheesy

Inside, there were Yule stockings personalized for me and my partner, Ian:

And a wonderful "Blessed Yule" sign made of individual slices of tree branch. I love the scraps of rag tied on as ribbons. One of my absolute favourite decorative ideas!

Inside my stocking was a group of charmingly primitive ornaments. I especially like the slice of dried orange, and the two little pillows. One has cinnamon sticks in it, and the other seems to be something herbal as well.

There's also a small packet of dried elderberries, a pouch of (I'm guessing) mulled wine or cider spices, and a bag of dehydrated kefir grains. Monnie had told me this was coming, so I'm looking forward to trying it.

Ian's stocking contained a package of organic Echinacea tea and a tea ball in its own little red pouch, two bars of Monnie's famous homemade soap, a cake of shaving soap (which I'll claim) and a bottle of aftershave (bay laurel - lovely!). There's also a bag of lemongrass-scented bath salts, which Ian is already looking forward to trying in his bath tomorrow!

Finally, here's a picture of the Yule sign up on our door:

Thanks for all this, Monnie! I love it all!
