Update:  My mom told my brother that Bo Bo could not be saved...that what was left was in the tiny box on the hutch...my brother got all upset and could not believe it...I had put the eye and some stuffing in the tiny box.  When I got in from work, he started shouting that I had killed Bo Bo...I told him that I tried to fix him but he was beyond repair...I told him that I didn't want to tell him over the phone...

He was upset and said he could not understand how I could be such a good sewer and not be able to fix Bo Bo...I asked him if he wanted the rest of the parts...he said "no". but I handed him a box anyway...

He did not want to look, but I insisted...when he opened the box and saw the bear, he started jumping around and saying, " Look at Bo Bo!!"  yeah, he was quite excited and gave me a big hug...he said I was mean to just put the eye in the box...he said he was going to get me back, so I better be on alert... Grin

My happy younger brother with his Bo Bo:

Our family is full of practical jokers...we are always scheming to out do each other and just laugh our heads off each Holiday season re-living some of the best moments ever pulled off....Grin

The bear was carried around and slept with all through his childhood...I am surprised my Mom did not just throw it out...when he found it again as an adult, it was already in really bad shape...at least he has something from his childhood...that is an amazing feat since he was so hard on his stuff as a kid!

ha ha  I am thinking he will now want some more clothes for the dang thing....uh, except for the jeans I promised him...NO!

Oh that is so sweet - that he has such love after all these years for such a childhood treasure.. and that you have such love for him to resurrect it.

Please please please tell me that you found or made a casket-like box for the Bo Bo remnants, just to add that little extra punch to the presentation.  Please tell me that!
