Battle/Challenge:  December Marching to own drum
Team: Randomizer
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Date night in a jar
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: My husband and I barely have date nights because we can never decide what to do, plus finding time is hard sometimes.  So for Valentine's Day, I made him (us) a date night in a jar.  There are over 40 sticks with different things to do on them to help revitalize our marriage.  Sometimes we can get caught up in everyday life and start to take each other for granted and that is unfair to both of us. This is marching to my own drum since I am the one who always gives homemade gifts, I am trying to spice up the marriage to keep it happy and I have a giant stash which all of this came from Smiley  Shopping for supplies doesn't happen as much anymore as it used to  Roll Eyes

(don't understand why my pics keep coming out sideways but I don't feel like fussing with technology right now LOL)

Crazyda79... that is a really clever idea. I should make something like that to help my marriage. Cheesy We have two kids (with one on the way) so having time for just us is pretty rare. I hope your honey loves this and I hope you guys have lots of awesome dates!

crazyda79 - Very nicely done with your date night in a jar.  It's so smart to plan it out by cost and at-home vs. out on the town.

LovelyMiss - My students roll their eyes at me when I say "All that and a bag of chips."  Roll Eyes  And speaking of food.... mmm, chocolate pie.  (Craftster needs to add a Homer Simpson "drool" emoticon, heheh.)

Sorry I haven't commented in so long. I will get on here and go back thru it all soon. I have been SO lazy with the snow.

    Battle/Challenge:  February Zombie Apocalypse
    Team: Wordy
    Bonus Points:
    Project Name: Zombie shirt
    Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I was reading this Kindle series and it had a funny part too it. The main character gets to a safe camp (yeah, apocalypse type book) and she notices all the females are wearing skirts. She starts thinking there is a seedy reason for it and gets nervous. Later on she finds out that they don't know how to sew pants and skirts are easy. LOL! To me that was really funny. Also, in the apocalypse clean clothes are a luxury. And clean socks are gold. I guess I wouldn't be that successful but I did use my stash to make this shirt. Just in case mine got ripped running from a zombie horde. P.S. If the apocalypse does come, those who knit socks will be worshipped!
The back is slightly longer than the front of the shirt. It's not hanging weird.  Tongue
