It feels funny posting just one dishcloth but when I was finished and looked at the result I was quite surprised and just had to share it with others.

I pulled some variegated cotton from my stash, grabbed one of my favorite patterns and away I went.  I have no idea why, but it ended up striped like this - thus the title 'Mysterious Dishcloth' - I've made this pattern many times with variegated and never had this happen before.

Quite interesting. Bet you could never do that again, even if you tried! I will think that it is from the style of yarn that you used. So perhaps you could if you purchased the same brand. It has been my experience with variegated yarns, that certain types run consistant with their color changes in them. But wonderful surprises are why we craft? At least that is why I experiment with stuff. Just to see what I get.

I certainly can't believe Averia would ever do something like that..... Smiley (smiley face will have to do since intonation doesn't come across in text) Anyway, I think that turned out pretty spiffy.

I have boxes of vintage piano music.  Some as old as 1890's!  PM me if you'd like some!

I showed this to my Mom and she thinks I should try to see if I can duplicate it - I say 'why bother, just enjoy this one'!

However you made it, this turned out to be a really cool dish cloth.
