Here's a fake taxidermy critter I made for artista83 in a personal swap, from extras and scraps I had in the shop.  I call it a Pygryphyn, pronounced "pig griffin."  Smiley

It has a wire armature and a body soft-sculptured from cotton batting.  The parts are mostly castings left over from jobs (my paying work is making fake animals for the entertainment industry).  Taxidermy supplier is  http://www.mckenziesp.com/, artificial fur from http://www.crscraft.com, feathers from http://www.hollywoodfancyfeather.com.

If all that stuff was just laying around, I imagine your house looks like some kind of zoo oriented serial killers live there Grin

Thank you, artista!   Kiss  Most of my other fake taxidermy has been for my paying work that I do with my husband.  Here's our very out of date website: http://animalfirm.com/index.html    For the past couple years we've been making semi-realistic bear costumes almost exclusively, with a few other things here and there.  Right now we're working on a polar bear for our main bear client, a professional suit performer who has commissioned several suits over the years.
