Naantje What an awesome Dr. Who mug!  And your string art is amazing!

DragonChilde Congrats on facing your fear!  Your dishcloth was well worth the effort. Smiley  Nicely done!

MamanTattoo  OMG!  Your daughter is sure to love those adorable unicorn farts socks. Smiley  And the play dough is fab!

Pottermouth Your snoqflakes ROCK!  I'm working on some crocheted ones to possible string on a garland, but I like your pattern much better!

Linakins  You made some LOVELY cards, and that pixie - well, she just takes the cake!  What a lovely little creature she is! Smiley

Jellybean89
Your towel hanger is great!  I keep thinking I need to do something like that, yet somehow, I STILL haven't. :/  Your rag rug is excellent, too!  You've been busy with that hook!

Avesthel
That scarf has amazing pop!  It's sure to turn heads! Smiley  Awesome!

Badwolf314 All your ornaments are lovely.  And those snowflakes?  In the words of Moss of IT Crowd, "but HOWWWWWWWW?" Smiley

Nicajeanie  Your exploding box rocks!   and your Joy pin is SO cheerful and lovely.  Your necklaces are great, too.  That spiderweb must have taken some serious patience! Smiley

I'll be getting the Huffle projects listed in our common room in just a few moments.  Sorry to fall behind, there!  It's been busy here.  (Imagine that, LOL!)

Class: Defence against the Dark Arts
House: Huffledypuff!
Project Name: Bling Blong!
Project Description: In my attempt to brighten a boring wall (or door! - though it may migrate to the wall over my couch), I made this ornament wreath.  The base is a coat hanger, stretched into a circle.  I raised the metal "collar" thinggy on each ornament and added a dab of hot glue before slipping it back into place, in order to prevent any surprise "confetti" being made by leaping ornaments.

Moonflame- did you check out the link for those crocheted ring ornaments? There are quite a few there, and they are SO quick to make. I'm loving your Bling Blong (hee) wreath!

For those of you who are new, I feel I should tell you that our Christmas elf, Alton, occasionally makes appearances here. He is a mischievous Slytherin and sometimes gets in trouble. Well, last night he apparently gorged himself on an entire oatmeal cream pie and was feeling pretty ill this morning. What a glutton. The kids felt sorry for him and asked me to make him more comfortable and so I somehow got conned into making an elf-sized snuggie. Slytherin style. Good grief.

House Pride: Slytherin Pride, made by a Ravenclaw.  Tongue
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Slytherin Snuggie for a Sick Elf
Brief Description: See above.

And after all of that, he had the audacity to ask me for soup.

Challenge: DA - #5, Shield Charm
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mini Muffler
Project Description: Our library has a wee elf called Twinkles.  The other day, he met Bob, the resident leopard gecko, and they became friends.  Bob asked for my help in creating a mini muffler for Twinkles, as he was worried that away from the warmth of the heat lamp (under which they spent their together time), Twinkles would catch a chill.  With a wave of my wand, a bit of muttering, and some tinking, I came up with this:

There have been some amazing projects posted so far!  I've been lurking since the semester started and I can barely keep up with the awesomeness!  I especially like the sparkly unicorn tree and the string art, as well as the homemade soaps and spiderweb necklace.  The Hitchhiker's Guide ornaments are great too, and I love the Klatchian coffee cozy!

I think it's about time I started to contribute...

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Herbology class
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Festive Zipper Pull
Brief Description: I have a boring gray backpack that needed jazzing up, so I made a box weave chainmail zipper pull for it.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: DA - Stunning Spell
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Taco Soup
Brief Description: This dish is super simple to make, but it's quite tasty and can be stunningly spicy if you don't wimp out and just use half the packet of taco seasoning like I usually do...
Project Picture:

Taco Soup Recipe
1 can black beans
1 can kidney beans (optional.  I usually leave it out.)
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can diced tomatoes and green chilis (like Ro-Tel)
1 packet taco seasoning
1 packet ranch dressing/dip mix
Meat, if you want it - ground beef, canned chicken, or ground turkey all work

Brown the meat if necessary.  Open all of your cans and dump them in a pot, juice and all.  (You can drain the beans if you want.)  Add all the other ingredients and stir.  If you like a soupier soup, put some water in it.  Heat your soup until you feel it's warm enough, and serve topped with shredded cheddar cheese and corn chips on the side.  This stuff is great because a batch makes 4-6 meals, and you can freeze leftovers to eat later or drain the juice and use the rest in burritos or nachos.
