Class/Challenge/House Pride: Alchemy
House: Ravenclaw
Quidditch Match: Im supporting Slytherin *flashes a mischievous smile*
Project Name: Golden Snitch Ornaments
Brief Description: While doing my alchemy homework, all I could think of was the upcoming quidditch match! So in honor of the match I decided to craft up some golden snitches to hang on my Christmas tree! I tried to use a spell to make them fly around the tree but all I ended up doing was making them flat!
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Arithmancy
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: 42 Ornaments
Brief Description: I choose the number 42 as it is the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything. I used chipboard and my silhouette to cut out the shapes of some Hitchhikers Guide related items and then painted them. The hardest part was making sure everything was a single piece.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Charms
Ravenclaw Scavenger Hunt: Paper Products
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Nerd-flakes
Project Link: Star Wars Snowflakes
Brief Description: As I watched the rest of the class cast the Aguamenti charm and their gorgeous snowflakes fell to ground, I had to give it a shot. I said the spell and watched as my snowflakes started to fall. But upon closer inspection, my snowflakes were very interesting I guess that late night Star Wars marathon affected me more than I thought!
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Flying
Ravenclaw Scavenger Hunt: Glitter
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: TARDIS Ornaments
Brief Description: Ive had a bottle of blue glitter that I have had no idea what to do with for the last five years And then I started watching Doctor Who. I immediately knew I would have to use it for something TARDIS related. And I finally made these ornaments for my tree.

A new Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean Mini-Challenge has been posted!

What's this week's bean!?!?  Take the Portkey to the Deputy Headmistresses Office to find out!

Please note you are welcome to do any, all or none of these challenges as they come up throughout the semester.  They are not intended to cause stress, but are instead intended to get your crafty Muses singing.  Neither the Headmistress or I will complete ALL the classes and challenges posted this semester.  So relax, and craft what you love.

pinkleo My family had the same problem, Texas just can’t handle any ice or snow! I’m glad you were able to keep warm!
I know, right!  Luckily we had plenty of firewood and cozy woolies to wear....and my grill, which provided warm food.  Must admit I am happy I don't have to go out into the craziness. TX Drivers + Icy Streets = Danger!  (I'm sure most are okay, but it only takes that one crazy driver)  YAY for another snow day, power, and plenty of groceries. Grin

@jennie: I love the new bean flavor; it's one of my faves. Cool

Gosh...I leave for a couple days to tend to work and real life and everyone's turning in all sorts of stuff! Allow me to "Oooo & Ahhh" for a moment!

@FiberAlchemist: That bagel french toast looks delicious!!

@rockmygypsysoul: An OWL proposal! Splendid news for the Gryffindors! I can't wait to see the finished products. I love what you've done so far!

@pottermouth: Your pink tree is fantastic! I love tinsel trees (especially the white ones). It's so bright and awesome! Also, your Santa Tchotchke looks so good! I would have thought you bought it at a store somewhere. I think I may have to look up paperclay. I can't get over how funny and awesome your Deer Hoopla is. I love the fact that it's wearing a sweater. If we're ever swap partners for something...I want a recreation of this hoop. Gorgeous cowl/headband! It looks so perfect! Your snowflakes turned out really well! Cute idea with turning them into frames!

@noodle-bug: Free stuff! Awesome! I love pastels...they're so much fun to shade, aren't they?

@Moonflame: Okay, so your snowflakes are about a million times more awesome. Also, your "messy background" is my house on a good day! Lol.

@Linakins: Beautiful cards! (Maybe we'll be seeing some of them in the card exchange...? I'll keep my fingers crossed.) I really love your pixie too! She looks like she belongs on the top of the tree. Smiley

@jellybean89: I love the front part of that towel hanger! It looks so neat! I'll have to look up that stitch. Awesome rag rug as well! Very pretty colors together for "rags."

@Avesthel: Yay! Another Gryffindor submission! That scarf is amazing! Did you just take different leftover bits and braid them together? Or is it some kind of fancy mish-mash yarn?

@Naantje: Love the TARDIS cup! There's a couple people on my Xmas list who would love one! And holy string art! You're on a roll! Love them all!

@DragonChilde: Wonderful washcloth! I keep trying to knit....it's just not gonna happen I think.

@MamanTattoo: Unicorn Fart Socks! So AWESOME! (Because all Gryffindors are awesome Wink) Thanks for the Potions recipe too! I didn't know you could make your own play-dough.

@Pinkleo: Alot of my friends back in OH/WV had a lot of snow and ice to deal with but I'm surprised you had some in your area! I feel a little bad 'cause I saying I'm freezing my butt off because it's 40's/50's here. Haha.

@BadWolf314:
First Quidditch submission! Exciting! Hitchhiker, Doctor Who, and HP ornaments...your tree is awesome! Also, I saw those Star Wars flakes on Reddit and thought they were so freaking neat! I didn't know there was a pattern you could get!

@Mistress Jennie: Yay for a new bean!

Thanks for the kind words on my scarf, everyone.   Smiley   Whistlefish, it is a bunch of different yarns, ribbons, ric rac cut to 10 foot lengths and then braided together.   They were popular on Craftster a few years back.  Here's two of the threads about them:
